@@BluffaloSam Lol thats like a limit $300/$300 game at Aces. I know its a joke. When it comes to Washington State, they are the worst for all kinds of gambling.
Some thoughts: -Disagree with raising 77 for value. Even if villain has just a flush draw he probably has two overs as well which is doing better than us equity wise. Jacks with weak kickers and 88, 99, TT are still possible as well given pre-flop action is not aggressive. With our bet now being for pure denial since we've ruled it out as a value raise, I'd say that we never want to make any bets purely for denial when our realization and landing equity when betting this large is little to none and with so many combinations that are ahead of us. -If small blind loves his small leads we need to formulate a strategy as we're getting bludgeoned with our current one of simply hoping our showdown value beats his (IF we even call down and see river showdown because we're folding AK on a 7 high board with ideal run outs). -Thanks for posting love these blogs. Sorry if this comes off as overtly critical
Enjoyable watch. I do think you’d benefit from throwing a few check raises in there. Particularity in that hand where you had pocket 7’s and they win with 2nd pair 10’s
Haven't been to Fortune in forever. Action is way better at Caribbean and 405 traffic is the nut low. 1/3 regularly plays 1/3/15 and they regularly spread 5/10/20 if you want to play bigger. Fortune was run way tighter---see betting line issue, but the action trumps that.
@@BluffaloSam Just found your channel also, nice job. I grind the 1-3 full time in Seattle area clubs. I have only watched 2 of your vids, but I have a couple suggestions. 1) You are missing a lot of value by checking too much on the river, like in the bomb pot with the ace of clubs. 2) When you are the PFR and the flop comes with at least 2 cards 10 or higher and you are going to bet, down-betting is not the best play, bet half the pot - many of the hands people call a raise with fit into this kind of flop, so bet it if you nail it, and if you flop a good draw with it and bet half the pot, better hands will be hesitant to raise because they will fear you have them beat. One more note, I'm pretty sure it's against WA gaming regulations to take pictures or film inside casinos. Good luck in Portland, crazy bomb pot action !
As you found WA state makes it very hard to get great value due to how relatively nitty players are…we’re nitty because of limit structure, and in limit you’re not really incentivized to bluff a ton. So it makes for this weird “catch lightning in a bottle” circumstance. People don’t like to max bet 300 unless they have extremely strong hands or draws…and people don’t usually CALL big 300 bets unless they believe they’re best or THEY have a draw to the absolute nuts…so strategies become more polarized and difficult to suss out…taking nice semi bluff lines with a lot of pressure is a great strategy…until one of the Regs catches it. Regs here hawk eyes, watching body language from head movement, timing tells, to how people put their chips in the middle…they’ll see someone taking an active “bluff against tighter players” and chomp away by reraising 300 on top, or smooth call with marginal esque hands. It’s a very volatile state to play in. Hard to get value, even harder to bluff…which is also why Seattle is actually pretty decent at poker also. Most times when players get out of state they crush…anyways, hope you come down again some time!!!
I just found myself cbetting near 100% in so many situations, as most hands never made it past a tiny flop bet. Back home you'd raise over 5 limps, all would call, bet Flop, 3 would call. Here it's raise 1 or 2 call pre, very often will fold to a cbet. But different player pools everywhere, the key is just adjusting constantly!
I'd recommend Caribbean, or Fortune whichever you're closer to. Dealers are top notch, but they have a lot more servers at Fortune, so drinks/food come faster
@@BluffaloSamNice! Dude you absolutely must check out Oaks Card Club in Oakland. It’ll be on your way heading south to bay 101. Insane action at that room. It’s a 3 blind 1-2-3 and 2-3-5 game plus they have bigger games. Definitely recommend.
I do not, too much of my game is inexplicable intuition. The parts of theory that I do know, are quite outdated as well. I also don't have any systems in place, and there are far better more established coaches than me. I appreciate it though!

Thanks a lot fella :)
Love this series dude! Can't wait to watch the Portland action 😊
Thanks buddy! Great bunch of poker rooms you have around you!!
If you guys dont know this is a spread game. The maximum bet is $300
Horrible horrible state law, at Aces they were running a 25/25 "NL" how is that even playable 😂

I would say you want a bit more for 3-5. The game plays pretty big in WA.

Lol your player pool seems like a bunch of garbage regs
This is why I'm staying at 1/3 in WA. I used to play at Fortune but 3/5 spread just doesnt work. Also the wait times are nuts.
Ha for whatever reason I always viewed your Canada sessions as being in USD, what does your normal 2-5 game translate to in USD, 1.5/3.5?
Yeah, roughly around there!
Where do you get the relevant sizing for spr?
You can Google pot geometry graph, and try memorize it from there
@@BluffaloSamthank you
I know what SPR is, but how do you use it to get it all in by the river?
Take the square root of that number to find the geometric sizing? I don't know, is that what you meant, @BluffaloSam ??
@fibonacci112358s I can barely add the pot, imagine trying to do square root calculations 😂 I have the pot geometry table memorized
Something called pot geometry. Basic guidelines for the turn is 4SPR = pot 3SPR = 80% 2SPR = 60%
5SPR = 115% 6SPR =130%
