    11 days ago, out of sheer desperation, I decided to start the carnivore diet. In these 11 days, I'm down 12 lbs, and I have had a noticed reduction in the level of my passion. I lived in the world of pain levels at best 7, now I would say it's around a 4. Let them study that!

      Ketovore is basically animal sourced keto. As long as it meets the macro requirements of keto. Which is generally below 20 grams of carb per day. Ketovore is often mentioned as max 10 g.
      Most carnivores are not doing keto though, cause their fat to protein ratio are too close to 1:1.
      You need to add a lot of additional fat to cooked meat, to get a classic keto macro or even modified keto.

    "When you remove something and the effect goes away, that should make you think. When you bring that something back and the effect comes back, then you're really on to something."
    That is not controlled science, albeit reasonable logical practice. However, it is an incomplete picture and not proof that meat is the only diet made for mankind. For example, in the beginning of 2020, I switched from a whole food mixed diet of meat, vegetables, dairy, and fruit to an ORGANIC ONLY whole food mixed diet and practiced/studied this for four years. The effects of nasal congestion, phlegm, recurring respiratory "illnesses" (toxin elimination), skin issues (toxin elimination), and constipation (toxin retention) completely vanished. Does this mean that an organic whole food mixed diet is the only diet made for man kind? Of course not. Though I had eliminated those effects, the effect of high blood pressure remained. In 2024 I switched to a lion diet--beef, salt, and water, with occasional chicken and pork. No dairy, no sugars, no carbs, and nothing plant based. My blood pressure has since dropped from an average of 156/95 to 120/85 and as low as 116/78. Clearly, the effect of high blood pressure went away. Does THIS mean that lion diet is the only diet made for man kind. Of course not. Though my blood pressure returned to normal and has stabilized, I am once again experiencing congestion, phlegm, throat irritation, respiratory "illness" (toxin elimination), skin issues (toxin elimination), and constipation (toxin retention, and perhaps the reason for respiratory and skin erruptions) while enjoying the excellent blood pressure. To those who have advised that I increase my fat intake to address the constipation, I consume as much fat as I can stomach without nausea, including adding tallow to everything and literally warming and drinking it, and eating all the fat left on my family's dinner plates. It has not corrected constipation, and constipation can lead to other consequences. For now, I will remain on lion diet and give this study a fair assessment. After one full year if I cannot correct these issues--or sooner if the effects become serious--I will go back to an organic only whole food mixed diet, but this time without dairy and fruit (no sugars). It may be that I need to vary my diet from time to time. Time will tell.
    Edit: I forgot to mention, while on whole food mixed and on lion diet I ate wild caught cod and salmon.

      Have you ever tried castor oil packs for constipation relief? And drinking more water if that was what was subbed out for extra fat?

    • @nomasknoway9903
      @nomasknoway9903 Месяц назад +2

      @@Laura-qs4gx I began my journey at 185lbs. As such, the water consumption rule of thumb suggested I drink about a gallon per day--body weight/60, + 1 = quarts per day. I am down to 165lbs on LD and still aim for a gallon per day, although it is difficult. I find myself drinking all day long and to the point that it becomes intolerable. According to some studies, the body cannot absorb more than 1 cup every thirty minutes. More than that is a wasted effort, and quite frankly, no one has time for that. This was never an issue while on organic whole food mixed diet. I was consuming fermented foods which maintained my gut flora and provided regularity and ease. I will say that I've notice very little waste on LD indicating great efficiency. I have no perceivable signs of dehydration other than the moderate constipation. My great improvement in blood pressure also suggests adequate hydration. I suspect the change in diet to LD has disrupted my gut flora and hope in time it will rebalance. I have used Castor oil packs in the past before the organic whole food mixed diet, but not for this current issue. I certainly would use Castor oil again if it becomes serious, and even orally if necessary, though at that point I would necessarily modify my diet or abandon LD so as not to depend on it. If a diet depends on extraordinary or artificial measures for regulation, it isn't a proper diet in my opinion. I am hoping to find a dietary solution that complies with LD so as not to disrupt this experiment. At this point I can't imagine what that solution could be. Perhaps butter could be more effective than tallow? I am holding off of butter for now because it isn't LD. That will probably be my first step in modification. I greatly appreciate your reply and suggestion. I am always open to ideas.

    If you had twice as many doctors and half as many administrators this probably wouldn’t be happening. Doctors would be working with each other instead of with administrators and basically doing what they’re told. When administrators are the ones deciding your medical paths you’re in deep trouble. The doctor is just their to look official but also to hide the faces of who’s really running the asylum.

    Ketovore is basically animal-based keto. As long as it meets the macro requirements of keto. Which is generally below 20 grams of carb per day and moderate protein. Ketovore is often mentioned as being max 10 g. carbs/day.
    Most carnivores are not doing keto though, because their fat to protein ratio are too close to 1:1.
    You need to add a lot of additional fat to cooked meat, to get a classic keto macro or even modified keto macros.

    100 years of studies is more than Keto. High carb centenarians. 2010 study title: "Discovery of Novel Sources of Vitamin B12 in Traditional Korean Foods from Nutritional Surveys of Centenarians." These Korean centenarians consume a high carb diet with 87% of plant foods and 13% from animal foods. They have almost no access to synthetic vitamins, supplements or fortified foods. Centenarian men take in about 1700 calories per day and about 300 grams of carbs per day. These people are set in their ways they do not play games with diets or experiment with any type of money making fad diet.

    Sounds great Dr. Though in the Bible it mentions that pork is of the filthiest animals to eat. Also having a carnivore diet 3 times a day is a lot of money. What about deforestation because of cattle.
    Nowadays people don’t know what to eat, vegetables full of pesticides, affordable meat full of antibiotics and colorants.
    I believe we should just try to eat a molecular alimentation which is to combine one protein one carbohydrate and one fat ingredient in each of our meals. Try to purchase local foods, cook fibers and grains well.
    If you eat cooked foods most of the anti nutrients and pesticides in grains and vegetables will disappear. Relax, eat what you like but in small quantities, but most importantly pray in Jesus.

  • @eddieadams4770

    The Carnivore diet ignores evolution. Chaffee keeps saying it's evolutionary while leaving out the undeniable fact that that we've evolved to digest sugar. Why do you think we can burn carbohydrates for energy? Try and give your cat a piece of candy, it won't touch it. But a human? Oh yeah, sugar is our favorite food. It's so evolutionarily important to us that we've developed a sweet tooth. We crave it. We love it. Without sugar, we probably would have gone extinct.
    The problemisn't sugarr; it's the quantity we eat and our sedentary lifestyles.

    • @tradermunky1998

      Ever watch survival shows? There's almost no sugar in nature. So you aren't wrong, have some sugar a couple of weeks out of the year when the berries are ripe or maybe once a month to mimic finding a bee hive.

    • @xcom432
      @xcom432 Месяц назад +1

      I have seen cats eat sweets, fruits and vegetables, but they are fat, I consider this animal abuse.
      I have noticed that dogs may like chocolate, but we know they shouldn't eat it because it harms them.
      Humans may have evolved to digest carbohydrates but not necessarily to consume sugar, as it has no nutritional value.
      There are people who like, love, and feel good about alcoholic beverages, nicotine, and cigarettes, but this preference for these stimulant substances is not because we need them at an evolutionary level, that is called addiction, the same as sugar does.
      Sugar is not the same as the glucose that our body naturally produces and requires.
      So to say that without sugar humanity would not have survived is incorrect. Rather, without food of animal origin humanity would not survive.

After my comment I had the thought of rat trials with drugs like cocaine and heroin where the rats would starve to death because they were constantly choosing the drug over food.
