Top review sir. I saw them last year, and it was still hard for me without David. But, I feel they've really found their stride again, though I'll never forget David obviously. But as someone who's had a link with the band for a few years now, it's wonderful to see them on top form. By the way,it's Pete Jones here. Thanks for the shout out. :) Much appreciated. I new that I was on your radar so to speak, since youmentioned The Bardic Depths a while back. I'm very glad you enjoyed my set. :)
Hello Peter, thank you so much for your great Music 🎶. Your joining the mighty Camel 🐫 is a stroke of genius on Andy Latimer's part, thanks for sharing your incredible talent with us and enriching our lives ❤
I saw them in Swindon, my first BBT gig! Had the privilege of meeting the band afterwards and thanking them for an awesome (definitely one of the best ones I've ever seen). My main regret is that I never got to see them live with David, but Alberto has done an amazing job filling the gaping hole David's passing left.
I attended the Newark concert and sorry I did not see you to say hello. It was (once more) highly emotional for me...for all intent and purpose BBT Newark is playing as close to David's home town as you can get. I thought Peter's tribute to David (Always) was so moving it brought tears to my eyes...and when I closed them I can hear some of David in Peter's voice. The set and the musicianship remains exceptional high...and they all appeared to be having a good time playing the music. I was pleased to get to say hello to Nick, Greg and Rikard...members of the band who David first introduced to me when I paid David a visit to Real World prior to their first live dates. I miss my friend and I am so pleased David's music continues to be performed. x
Thanks :) I'm glad you liked Always. I miss David too. We had a long chat once, and we talked about how some people said that we sounded a bit like each other. We came to the conclusion that it was more like we both sounded a bit like Gabriel/Colins. Haha.
Not at Newark but I attended my 4th on the tour last night. They are surpassing themselves with every performance at the moment. Can’t wait for London already !
BBT is superb! Saw them here in the states in Rutherford, NJ back in March and most of the band was nice enough to meet and greet us and sign my program. The Likes of Us may be one of their best yet...Thanks for the review.
I saw them last night (October 5th) for the first, enjoyable time. While the clarity of the vocals in the sound system last night (although it did improve) was not great at the start, one could not doubt their enthusiasm, multi-skilled musicianship and greatness of much of their music. Nick's drumming was as great as ever (although I felt a bit over amplified) and Alberto (the frontman / lead singer) played the drums on Telling the Bees. Greg even said a few things and stepped forward from his rear quarter on some occasions.
Went to Milton Keynes - - I think some of the intracacies of BBTs music were lost live and lets go for volume instead .May have been due to smaller venue. Same highlights for me as others Beneath The Mast, Telling the Bees and Love is the Light.
Good review! I watched your review a couple of years ago of Folklore and got the album on the strength of that, great buy! Listened to it repeatedly! Wanted to try to get a vinyl copy but need a mortgage to do that! Not sure if there are any vinyl releases you know of that I missed? Again great reviews, would like to see them.
Great video. Confession: I dislike bands performing (esp. live) with TWO drummers. Even way back with the Doobie Brothers (pre-McDonald) or the Allman Bros Band. As a result, now decades later I've been forced to accept that there's CLEARLY some hidden benefit or formula to it and, being a spoon, I just completely missed the bus on those things are or were.
I LOVED them with David. Underfall Yard is a masterpiece especially if you love prog in the vein of classic Genesis. I don't enjoy the new singer since David's passing.
I enjoy this band a lot, but I prefer the studio versions of the songs rather than the live versions from the new album. I'm not a big fan of the audience participation bits... Everybody sing along, everybody clap along, everybody get down and boogie! I can do without that. Leave that nonsense to the Eagles and that ilk. Good review, though.
As a music lover of all genres. I cannot abide and wish the fashionable trend of catawalling like Celine Dion please stop, holding onto the highest note for 5 minutes is a hazardous, a friend thought she treat me to see Dream Girls, obviously not a genuine friend, the show was absolutely migraine inducing, horrible.. why is this fashionable, it’s a travesty!
Yes, my group of 4 were there, great gig, lovely venue, great sound, great music! Cadogan Hall was fabulous too.
I saw them a couple of weeks ago in Weinheim. Absolutely beautiful concert. Thanks for your review.

It was me that spoke to you in the foyer. Thanks for your kind comment

I was there... it was a wonderful gig, highlights for me were Beneath The Mast, Telling the Bees and Love is the Light. Your resume was spot on.
Will see two shows in a row next weekend. The band will play two different sets. Can't wait! Great review, as always.
Nice review. This band are something special and the latest album hasn't left me for ages. The praise is very much deserved.
Couldn't agree more!

I was there as well, great performance.
Great review, I just saw them in Milton Keynes for the first time and it was incredible.

I was there at Newark, you're spot on with your observations. A different BBT but a fabulous BBT. Great support from Pete Jones too.

The whole night was tremendous and your comments are absolutely spot on !!
We had them at Whitley Bay last week. Superb!
Never doubted it would be superb. Thanks for the revue.
The new album is great as well
Another note I am Irish so may have some historical issues with English history , but alaways admired your engineering prowess
Sir, I'd have saved myself a few quid and watched Fred Dibnah videos on RUclips.
Seriously, great review.
Nice Doors shirt. Good channel.

Are you thinking of reviewing queen 1 super deluxe edition out on 25/11 I think
If they send me a copy I will.
@@classicalbum it does cost a bit £180
Great album but … how much?! ( rhetorical reaction) 😮
@@ArtbyJoeH Cheapest I’ve seen is £169.99 ebay
I wish they would release a deluxe cd version

Hovis piece I assume you mean Dvorak new world symphony lol
Assume you mean Yorkshire rather than just bread.

Big Big Train. I just love all their tracks.
“A real buzz about Telling the Bees”……..😐
I'm a dad to!
Feel free to pelt rotten fruit but ...... ive never heard of them...🤔😳😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫
Well, ya av now! :)

Who is this band? Never heard of them. Is it just a Brit thing?
Italian singer, Swedish guitarist, Norwegian keyboard player, American drummer. Apart from that, yup, just a 'Brit thing'.
they are just too "safe" for me
