  • The International Chamber Music Competition “Pinerolo e Torino Città Metropolitana”, the prestigious bi-annual chamber music competition (a member of the World Federation of International Music Competitions in Geneva) has been run from 6 to 11 March, with some of the most talented young musicians on the international music scene performed in Pinerolo and Turin.
The jury of eminent musicians had admitted 6 ensembles to the final, instead of the expected 5, due the exceptionally high level of the competitors. The President of the jury Pavel Gililov (piano, Russia), together with Michael Collins (clarinet, UK), Thomas Demenga (cello, Switzerland), Alberto Miodini (piano, Italy), Natalia Prishepenko (violin, Russia), Danusha Waskiewicz (viola, Germany), Marco Zuccarini (conductor, Italy), selected the finalists for prizes totalling 23,000 euros from the over 130 musicians who entered the competition, performing in 52 chamber music ensembles (under 33) from 29 countries all over the world.
