The mike certainly was placed to Schroeder's advantage -- lovely to hear every little nuance. Nice tempo mix in the set -- and the gang proved there was still life in the closer, SGB. Always a joy to hear "new" Ed Hall, easily in my Top Five clarinetists.

McG was blessed in 1975 to assist in the transfer to tape of the original source materials provided by Mr. Daniel Simms. Daniel was a good friend and the foremost discographer of Wild Bill Davison.
As a 17 year old I was in Eddie Condon’s in 1967. I don’t remember which of the band members said it, but whoever it was said they left a tape recorder running every night in case something special happened. So I hope at least more of these tapes are around somewhere. Thanks for this one.
