Thank you for the kind words! It’s taken 6+ years of coaching pickleball and lots of sessions coaching along some of the best minds in the game to understand how to meet students where they are!
Super informative, thanks! I really appreciate the reminder about always getting back into the ready position during drills. As you mentioned, keeping the paddle down after executing a specific drill (backhand dinks) in this video isn't realistic for actual gameplay-great advice to build better habits!"
I don't like to build any habit into my game until I understand the margin, the trade offs, and the ensuing dynamics. * Why is it less desirable to hit the ball shallower than the orange tape? * What happens if you hit a little bit past the orange tape? * What happens if you actually target the NVL? *What kinds of opponents will most effectively exploit shallower or deeper balls than the idealized orange tape? This is great skill instruction, but it falls short on cognitive instruction.
16:40 he does mention that it makes it unable to be poached. Though I do agree that some more elaboration on the other scenarios and why he recommends targeting that depth is advised
Make the paddle face your face !!
GOLD !!! 😮
That’s a big nugget!!
solid goal.
love you man, so much helpful
my favorite pickleball coach love the way u break things down
I'm impressed how you are able to tailor your instruction to the level of the student. Comparison to the 5.0 you coached re attacks

Long shot but where do you coach? Need to find someone chill like you.
We are based in Maryland but travel all the time. Just got back from Costa Rica teaching for a week! Maybe we can link up during my travels!
SoCal here, that would be awesome!

Students paddle is way too low and his ready position isnt very athletic
