My grandpaw was singing farewell party a few days before a died! My grandmaw kept yelling at him telling him to stop wondering why he kept singing it, its almost like he knew what was coming, he passed very peacefully, every time i hear this song it makes me think of him! One of the most powerful songs i have ever heard. Thank you for the conversation. And thank you to Gene for the song!

I’m glad I came across your channels. I love hearing old stories. Mr.Watson’s interview was especially cool. My Great Uncle played for Miss Loretta for almost 30 years. He would have been playing for her at the time Mr. Watson was referring to. It’s been good times hearing your stories as well. Keep up the great work.

Gene was the opening act for randy travis and that was my first concert. My grandparents took me and my cousin. Grandma loved gene. It was a great show. We had so much fun.
