People talk about how "lucky" the mariners were in 2018 with their horrible run differential, but in reality there was no luck involved. Only Edwin Diaz. He was an anchor that this franchise has never had in their history. Trading away Edwin Diaz was the worst trade we've ever made. He's the greatest closer in franchise history and to trade him for some high school outfielder who might, maybe, someday be good was completely disgraceful. I know Jerry's heart was in the right place, but that deal will go down as the worst trade he's ever made. We miss you Sugar.

I'm a Rockies fan, but I've watched a few Mariners games. Edwin is INCREDIBLY talented and no doubt he could be on the track to be one of the best closers, ever. He's got elite velocity and elite offspeed, he'll be good.
Anton Cantwell Edwin has always had electric stuff, but until last year, his control and nerves were shaky. He got a lot of saves, but we were sweating every game. Last year was the first year where his control was elite and his nerves disappeared for the ENTIRE season. He was the real deal. You guys should be excited!
FIRE BRODIE VAN WAGENEN. This was the worst trade in baseball history. By far. Edlose Diaz is the worst pitcher in the MLB by far. Cano is okay but he has an awful contract and is not worth 2 top prospects
