Everybody does it including myself ! The 022 switch controls should be arranged so that the lever is at the bottom. That way you will not burn your hands on the hot bulbs .
Thank you. While watching many vids I saw most of my late 40`s Lionel stuff, but a few were missing. Sunoco tank car, Lionel caboose , silver UP diesel ( Bought a silver not knowing better in early 50`s) and finally the the same type steam loco shown at the top with 6 drive wheels and 2 each front and rear. I do remember the hook and slot to tie the loco to the tender. This completes my list seeing my trains one last time in 2023.
What a awesome little layout for this project. It's actually something that I'm currently working on the collecting of trains and accessories for a layout similar to this with multiple loops and switches. But thanks for sharing your restoration video with us. This gives me a better idea of what size table I will ultimately be going with. It also shows that with some time love and a lot of elbow grease, you don't need to replace everything with the newest version of systems/tracks.
Running very good for their age. Quite a bit bigger than I'm used to working with. I am impressed with the restoration. Pretty cool little track plan also. I enjoyed watching. Subbed so keep em coming! Im n scale. Brian ps. I went down and clicked all the thumbs up's for the algo. The log automation is awesome. Almos forgot.
There must have been some sentimental value to this for them to want it restored. Looks great now.
Wow! Amazing work - you really brought that layout back from the dead!
