ADBLUE DELETE - VOLKSWAGEN SHARAN 2015 / SEAT ALHAMBRA | ULTRA REMAPS

In this video, we have a 2015 Volkswagen Sharan which has had its AdBlue software removed by us at Ultra Remaps. The customer had exceeded the AdBlue countdown / timer. Despite topping up the AdBlue, the message on the dashboard did not disappear and they were unable to start the car.
What is AdBlue?
AdBlue is a solution used in diesel vehicles equipped with selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems to reduce harmful nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions. It is a mixture of purified water and urea, a compound derived from ammonia. When injected into the exhaust system, AdBlue reacts with NOx emissions to convert them into harmless nitrogen and water vapor, thereby helping vehicles comply with strict emissions regulations and reduce their environmental impact.
What is AdBlue Removal?
AdBlue removal, also known as AdBlue delete, involves reprogramming the vehicle's ECU into recognising that its AdBlue software is no longer present. This effectively erases any fault codes or error messages associated with AdBlue that might appear on the dashboard. Importantly, this procedure doesn't involve any wire cutting, and if you ever choose, the changes can be reversed to the original configuration.
