Change VW Active Info Display Theme with VCDS

If you own a Volkswagen with an Active Info Display. Follow this guide on how to change the looks. You need VCDS and a Vagcom cable by Ross-Tech. I will also show you how you can change the theme of the infotainment system, so that they match.
This video was made in a 2020 VW Polo. It may be different in your car.

Heb jij een lijst met de nummers voor de kleuren in de radio. Ik heb een mk2 tiguan. Mijn display staat op geel. Ik wil mijn radio ook in deze kleur.
Kan er ook een tijdaanduiding ingezet worden in het bovenbalkje. Tot 2021, is de klok alleen zichtbaar in het mib2 display bij een tiguan allspace

Hi, when I want to change my 2019 alltrack dashboard, I could get to go in adaptation,but when I tape in search box "display" it hapens nothing. I think its need some code to make active the searchbox!?

How do I remove the "GTI" from startup logo?
Get carista dongle
you actually don't need to code the infotainment. Just enable ambient lighting colors on the car, and your AID 17 and infotainment 5F will be in sync and you can change the colors on the car. I have been able to activate upto 20 colors or so using vcds so far. And they sync on the infotainment and AID.

@@Ossie3 you also need to code in the colours. Look for Farbe xx adaptations, and code them separately for R, G, B.
Vraagje, als je dit soort coderingen toepast, blijft je fabrieksgarantie gewoon van toepassing? Kan me voorstellen dat een VW dealer deze mutaties terug kan zien of..?
Niet geheel zeker hoe VW ermee omgaat. Kan me voorstellen dat ze graag elk excuus gebruiken om je de garantie te ontzeggen. Alhoewel ik ook verwacht dat men standaard coderingen voor de auto's heeft en deze wellicht eerst inladen voordat ze verder gaan zoeken.

ik heb een polo 2019 met virtual cockpit en ik heb die lijnen bij de kilometer rechts bij voorbeeld tussen de 60 en 80 bij 70 is bijvoorbeeld een streepje hoe kan ik dat doen?

Waarschijnlijk wel. De coderingen liggen erg bij elkaar van recentere volkswagens.

Not sure. Consult with Ross-Tech or your Volkswagen dealer to find out if this voids your warrenty.
Would this theoretically void your warranty?
Not sure. Most of the changes possible in VCDS are reversible. I imagine it doesn’t cover weird electronics errors, but still cover mechanical faults after using VCDS

@@kristianvanderboom7907 kan. Alleen moet je wel rekening houden met sofware versie. Niet op elk systeem gaat dit namelijk. Laats nog een polo aw 2018 gehad. Binairy was al anders dus geen ondersteunende skins erop. Wat je ook kan doen is, menu ingedrukt houden voor 15 sec voor service menu. Daar is een optie HMI, indien je daar skin sport heb staan kan je dit proberen. 👍 (zie dat ik trouwens via mijn zakelijke account reageer)

That is the 'with VCDS' part. I connected it with a cable from VCDS and I am using VCDS software
