I have a 2010 Passat. The pannel for music only has a media button, The pannel behind thr steering wheel does not ave knobs. 2 little buttons for time. I wanted to change my data to read any or all jnfu as how all functions arep workin. So I can see if there are areas to be checked on. It was set to display that info but had work done on it and was never reset back. All Im getting is compression and its fuxuates so much. Plwase can you melp me?

I have this version of the digital cockpit and find it strange that the clock does not display top and center. The version before had a clock and the current version does.

Hi this is a really quick and wonderful demo. Appreciate. I drive 2021 Atlas Cross Sport, however, whenever i select any view I customise after i turn off my car and start again after a while the view goes back to the Auto/ Classic one. Long story short, i prefer not to see the navigation at the very center instead i want the see the Range at center which will stay as default. Any advice on this please? Thanks !!
Try using the left and right "tab" buttons. (They are the ones immediately to the right and left of the "OK" button on the steering wheel. You can then select "Driving Data", and then arrow up or down to select the information that you want displayed.
Why is the sat nav in the middle and not off to the left?

Great video. Have a 2022 jetta gli. There are a lot of options to change but noticed the trip odometer is always showing. Is there anyway to show the odometer in the bottom left instead of the trip odometer?
You cannot move the odometer to that position BUT you are able tinsee the odometer by turning off cruise control.

Hey, I know my Passat 2018 does not have Nav button in the IHU.. so does it mean the car is missing that "hardware module" or something? is there a way that I could enable it? :) Looking forward to any comment/help! 🙏
If the radio does not have a "NAV" button, you won't be able to use or enable navigation.

No way to see individual tire pressure.
Just go to your gas station, check the pressures line up with the gas cap sticker and reset in Car - Vehicle Status and click the arrow button, click reset and gone!
Can you change the direction on the nav. I want it to show the direction in travelling in. Do I just zoom right in?

Yes, go to the radio and touch the "NAV" button, and then touch the arrow on the bottom right corner of the touch screen. Then touch the three lines in the bottom right corner of the touchscreen. Finally, unchecked the box that says "Display map in center cluster".
The 2022 SE with Tech does not or can not do navigation on the main screen? (Not infotainment screen)
it does not. Only onboard navigation can be displayed on the "main screen". That only happens on SEL, SEL R-Line, and SEL Premium R-Line units.
How do you get the clock to show on that screen and not just the on the radio ?

I believe that yiu do that in the "Car/Vehicle" settings in the radio.

i used Apple Play maps and now the nav screen is default in the digital cockpit. How do I stop the default to the Navigation?
You cannot replace the default navigation in the digital cockpit with Apple CarPlay's version of Navigation. That will only display on the radio screen.
Anyway you can display time on the digital cockpit？

Hi, thanks for video. I have a slightly different question. Whenever I start my new Tiguan, the nav map is displayed in the centre of the cluster by default. I have to scroll to see the other options (music etc). Is there a way to save a different default view other than the map? Thanks!
It depends on the model year of your Tiguan. If it is a 2020 or older, go to the "NAV" screen, and at the bottom if the screen, touch the "MAP" key on the screen. Unchecked the "Display in instrument cluster" box buy hitting the "OK" button in the steering wheel. If it is 2021 or newer, hit the "NAV" button on the radio, then hit the arrow in the bottom right corner if the screen. Then hit the menu button that appears in the same spot (it will look like three little lines). Unchecked the "Display in instrument cluster" box.

Here's how to do it on a 2021 (except 2021 Atlas): Go to the radio and touch "NAV", then touch the arrow in the bottom right corner of the touchscreen. How do you set the different views- view 1, view 2, view 3? I set it initially by holding down the view button but can’t change then now that it’s set.
On the radio go to settings and then select "Instrument Cluster".

I've had my car a year. In the display, it had the total mileage. Somehow during one of my trips, it switched to trip. How do I get my total miles back?
It sounds like you have the digital Cockpit, so the only way to get the odometer to show is to turn off Cruise Control. The only other time that the odometer will show is when you turn the car off.
I have the same problem and can’t switch it back to total mileage 🙄

I do not think that there is a difference between the two.
Hello, just bought a Taos SE and can't make it look like the one you're showing. I guess mine is version 1 of the Digital Cockpit ☹️
Taos SE was a new model well after this video was made. Taos SE does not have onboard navigation so you won't be able to do this.
How do you store custom views? There’s options 1,2, and 3, but I’m not seeing how to save over how you want. Is that not an option on this?
I’m wondering the same! I was able to set it by holding down the view button but after setting it I was not able to change it to edit any of the view buttons.
You scroll through the icons once you are on that screen and leave it on what you want displayed. It is technically saved until you scroll to something different. There is no "save" or "store" button.
I appreciate the reply! We were hoping for the ability to save custom views for quick access. I hope vw starts putting more info into their owners manuals on this, it’s minimal in what we got.
You can save the views by tapping and holding the view number on the radio

I see a few 2022 atlas cross sports se with technology have different cockpits. Why is that? Or should they all have the second generation?
Supply chain shortages are causing this. The Digital Cockpit Pro (minus navigation) is a "substitute" for the non configurable digital Cockpit that they are supposed to have.
I have a 2019 gli autobahn I just purchased how do I know if I have the second gen or not?
The navigation was only 2nd gen for 2019 GLIs.

Turn off cruise control. Odometer will then appear.
Do you know if it's possible to have Waze on DC ?
No. You cannot import any other source for navigation into the digital cluster currently. That may change in the future.

@Craig Matthews my only guess would be that you need to change the DC screen display to something OTHER THAN "Navigation". Try the "Driving Data" screen or "Vehicle Status" options.

Auto has predetermined settings and classic just mimics and analog gauge.

Hi I’m just wondering if you can also change the middle section of this screen permanently? I know you can change the right and left panels like you showed but is there a way to not have the navigation come up in the middle every time? Just got my new 2021 atlas and love it but this bugs me!
Yes. If you have a 2021, hit the "NAV" button in the upper right hand corner of the radio. Then at the bottom of the touchscreen, wave your hand to get the "hot keys" to pop up. Then hit the hot key that says "Map" with a double headed arrow. It will move the navigation screen from the steering wheel back to the radio.

Is it possible to set let's say fuel consumption that will pops up in the middle of digital cockpit right after turning the engine on? Everytime the map pops up and I have to change it manually. You can change the display to "Driving Data" using the left/right tabs that surround the "OK" button. Then use the "up/down" arrows to navigate to "Range/Fuel Range".
@@vwguru Thanks mate, but this still requires me to change it everytime when I turn on the car. Any chance to set it once and save so next time when I turn on the car let's say "Fuel Range" pops up instead of the map?

@@arieljedrzejczak unfortunately no, but like few months ago there was some software upgrade, so instead of pure compass there is the arrow related to the Google maps now.

I have a 21 atlas and in one view I can’t remove “long term” time from the cluster. I don’t know why it annoys me so much but I drive A LOT and don’t want to see it 😂
