  • Small and empty, this mall is very close to becoming extinct. Located in Burlington Township, NJ this is definitely a shopping experience that you will want to miss.

    I've lived abroad for eight years but I grew up with this mall. Over time though, even in the early 2000s everyone would hang out at Moorestown Mall and Cherry Hill was much bigger. I'm not sure why it sank so hard though. The area isn't completely poor. But it looks like they never once renovated it. That looks like the same flooring that was in when I was 3 years old.

      I live in Mount Holly. Burlington Center started dying when the Moorestown Mall started being redeveloped and expanded. It was the same thing with the Willingboro Center between Rt. 130, Levitt Parkway, and Van Sciver Parkway. As soon as the Burlington Center went up Willingboro Center almost died completely in about 1 year.

      The Gamer Chronicles should grab time at the arcade while you can. Still there.

    Sadly this is not the only mall in America to die. There are others across the whole country. Its the economic state of the nation, online shopping, etc. Malls these days are used for indoor walking tracks sometimes.

    Sadly this mall is no more. There was plans to close it this spring but a water main break in January closed it for good.

    Too bad you didn't get a chance to film the Elephant fountain. Its one of the only highlights of the place. I wont be surprised if this mall is used to film a zombie apocalypse film because it is so dead inside.

      I was there on May 12 and the fountain is still there. You just have to go through the partition in the old Macy's wing. But it's still open to the public for the near term future.

    I've been in Burlington county since 2005; Lumberton to be exact. I used to come here so many times. Are they ever gonna actually try to renovate the place? The last times I was there, the only thing they had was the kuttin zone barbershop. Even the Chinese place at the food court got shut down, and they actually recognized me too.

    You were missing something. The arcade that still holds to this day who's pinball scores are still logged on a few websites.
    The arcade was right to the right of the stairs that you walked up.
    You literally filmed around the arcade instead of pointing the camera AT the arcade. XD

      Bangcat I was planning to pick it up on the way back down since security was kind of in the area (hence why I was stopped.) Sorry! 😆

    god, I remember going to this mall on almost weekly basis after getting paid or just going there with friends to hang out. We'd sit in the food court and play Pokemon or Yu-Gi-Oh and we were never bothered by anyone for it. Sad but expected to see this mall dying.

      moonbeam was intentionally turning down renters. Now they pulled a BS reason from 2 years ago to shut down mall ministry.

    • @nudist1033
      @nudist1033 6 лет назад

      Moonbeam was INTENTIONALLY turning down renters? That sounds ridiculous. One way they COULD resurrect that entire mall is to build a "FULL SERVICE" health club and allow people to use certain areas of that health club at certain times of the day while they are NUDE. Nude swimming, nude hot tub, nude steam room and sauna,.............
      Full service would include locker rooms with 300 lockers each, a 6 - 8 lane wide 50 meter long swimming pool with separate deep end for diving boards and sliding boards, hot tub, cold tub, sauna, steam room, basketball courts (that could also serve as indoor volleyball courts, tennis courts, an indoor running track, jazzercise room, nautilus, free weights, yadda, yadda, yadda
      As large as the entire building is and as large as the entire parking lot is they could easily get more than 1,500 people per day using the facility every day of the year. Also figure that the NJ TRNPK is less than 1/2 mile away and Exit 47 of Rt. 295 is only 1/4 of a mile away you could easily get people coming to this location from more than 55 miles away in less than one hour of traveling time.
