I just bought 40acres of land near Hartsel. Haven’t been to see it in person yet but this video really makes me excited. Can’t wait for endless views like these. Thank you!

You technically can’t live on your land in hartsel until you pay for a septic permit and then pay for an engineered septic system installed, then pay for a septic inspection. Also you have to pay for a driveway permit, have an engineer involved etc…. Get your 5 acres cheap, then realize that you need to pay 30 k in permits and another 10 k for a septic, another 5 k for a driveway. You need a permit for everything, even a small solar system. The land prior to being used will easily cost 60k its not cheap land

The trail definitely provides! The low route definitely looks different to the high route. Good thing you found the MTB alternate trail, but that is a lot of road walking on the open range. Holy cow $3M???? Even in remote areas, the real estate can be pricey! Glad you found shelter! Happy trails to you and Night Crawler! 🌺

I stumbled on your video because for the past 3 or 4 years I've been wanting to move to Hartsel, and it may be close to becoming a reality. And the amazing footage you have here is certainly just driving it home. Great video. Thanks for sharing!

Home, home on the Range, where the deer and the antelope play (or is that cows and bison). Looks like a standard ol Platte Thistle, common in Colorado. Still like the Indian Paintbrush plants best. Raindrops keep fallin on my head, a little B.J Thomas to brighten your day. SAFE HIKING.

We've had to put up double fencing to keep bulls in adjacent pastures from fighting non-stop. Our best bull got hung up in the wire fighting through the fence, and hurt his leg. He couldn't mount cows, so not any good as a bull. We had to sale him for slaughter.

Pretty sure those are steers. Those “bulls” would have been neutered.
