Personally, I fucking hate it because it’s just built up confidence by the UFC they don’t give any other wrestlers this type of respect it’s fucking bullshit in my opinion.
At the end of the day, there are fucking way better wrestlers in the UFC than any of these Russian guys Daniel Cormier, Henry Cejudo are both head over heels, better wrestlers than most of the Russians the only reason they are good at MMA is because Russian Samba was literally created for combat by the Soviet union. It was a style of wrestling that is only in Russia just like folk style wrestling is only in the United States, and I am never going to see a college wrestler like Bo nickel is a better wrestler than Henry Cejudo, even if he can beat Henry at a folk style match he would get his shit kicked in and Greco or freestyle just like he got beat in jiu-jitsu I love Bob nickel. He’s a good fighter, but he is not one of the best wrestlers in the UFC nor are most of the Russian guys. Honestly, the best one is Chimaev he won the Swedish freestyle National multiple times and he’s a far more well-rounded wrestler than any of the others he has amazing, hip control and scrambling. It is fucking fantastic. He would’ve been great in the Olympics, but he’s cutting too much weight in the UFC.
I was a National wrestler. Hi confidently will say I have friends who are better wrestlers, and some of the fucking Russian guys in the UFC but the only reason I say, that is because people like Sean, O’Malley, and other guys like that are looked at as good grapplers when they’re not there’s a lot better.
I’m from Montana Sean O’Malley was dog shit at wrestling compared to a lot of my friends and people I know he was like average😂 the BKFC champion from Montana, who was a wrestler I think we’ll probably be a real good match against Sean here in the next year or two once he gets a little better at jiu-jitsu because there’s one thing that’s coming into the UFC from the American wrestlers and that’s the funky wrestling which transitions into shit like the UFC pretty well once you learn a little bit of jiu-jitsu like nickel.
And because we are a lot better at escaping a lot of people who did you to have a hard time holding us down once we learn a little more jiu-jitsu😂 I’ve had a lot of friends who started wrestling because of jiu-jitsu and holy shit they got a lot better at both really quickly they mix so well at least American folk style and freestyle not Greco that’s more judo that mixes together with Greco.
It’s just how the UFC represents the resolution on media and just in the country it feels like we get more representation from fucking Marvel then Goddamn Anything it’s bullshit.
But at the same time they’re game and a lot of their media just doesn’t represent shit correctly. All of the Greco throws would be illegal in Greco, and most of the judo throws came from Greco and with how they fucking have so much other shit modeled well and they are just adding all of this like weird bullshit it’s just kind of interesting how it’s so ignored but then at the same time, Dana White talks about how it was stupid how they were trying to get wrestling removed from the Olympics, but at the same time he doesn’t have any representation or help put into the sport from what I’ve seen it’s really hypocritical lol
