@@AutotopiaLA I can't imagine being able to drive or even own a master piece built by Cartoon, Danny D, Bugz and of course the De Alba family let alone Dr greenthumb. Being built by the best in the lowrider game truly a dream for me.
I’ve never owned one or rode in one as I’m British, but I do understand the love for these rollin’ works of art. Low riders are the modern extension of the Mayan pyramids, everybody no matter who they are, just end up jaw dropped looking at the beauty. The hours of work that’s gone into them, the outpouring of love because it’s how a son and father connect over a shared love and image and the shared building of the project. This is puro Chicano estilo!!
I think what a lot of people don’t realize is that we as the lowrider community appreciate the understanding of others as to what it takes to build these cars and the culture behind the build. I have a 64 impala couple and a 66 impala convertible that I’m building right now and on days that I get down or discouraged on my builds I can watch a video like this and it’s motivational. Though it’s our culture we are all as one because we as car guys and girls can all appreciate the hard work behind a build regardless of style hot rod, restored, muscle car, or rat rod. As long as you enjoy what you build is what matters.
I couldn’t agree more! The passion that fuels custom builds continues to blow my mind and open it up to vehicles (like low riders) that I didn’t grow up around. Glad you got the point of this video. Awesome!!
My project is a rear wheel drive Toyota Corolla, I've had it for the past 7 years. My dream car when I was 13 was a 1963 Impala SS. I still haven't lost the dream, but rarity and the lack of funds made me choose a different route for the time being. Under the hood of my car lies a (blacktop 20 valve) 1.6l efi twin cam, with 5 valves per cylinder and individual throttle bodies that revs to 8200 rpm in stock form. It sounds glorious at wide open throttle.
I grew up in a restoration business, my dad was a Ford Model A and T purist. Anything rodded or custom was destroyed in his eye's. He saw to many unfinished builds. Anyway I tried to send the same message, the rods and customs have artistry, and amazing talent behind them, some of the most incredible cars are lowriders, or drop tops. gotta love the vision, and desire to bring it someplace new.
Color dont matter when it comes to lowriding...Its expanded throughout all colors. It's a love. It's a passion. It's a culture. And most of all it's a way of life. Glad you love it man.

I was brought into the Lowrider culture at a young age. I’m a hot rodder now, but yes you are correct bro. It’s a lifestyle, it’s art, it’s culture, and most importantly? Nice ride man U R blessed 🙏
Man, man, man, man, man, man, culture, articulate strips, man, culture, man, man, man, man..
That's a O.g. Ride..my grandma and grandpa had a 6..4. Baby blue clean..
This thing is a legend. So cool to be able to drive it
Oh yeah, Autotopia is awesome 👌
I'm a Hot Rodder as well.
Vintage, Classics, Exotics, Euro and all that's Fast and Eating Up Gas.
But i do go for the Sleepers, Classy show and go cars but i do have apart of me that like the LowRiders.
I'm working on a Project that is caught between a Classy Restore, Hot Rod and LowRider but it's going to take some time.
I'm really interested in seeing video on the Red 78 Cadillac Coupe de Ville in your Garage, it really catches the eye 👁
Sounds like we have the same approach on cars here. Curious to see what you’re building. And sooner or later we’ll shoot that Caddy I promise. Just needs some love first
thanks, it was fun to see that ...
That is amazing ride
It sure is a kind of a legend in the low rider world
GREAT VIDEO!!!!!!!
Thank you!
Rule #1 when cruising. No matter day or night, all windows down!!!
I bet you’d build one .... after driving that ... this was a badass episode would be cool to see more like this ... you just got my sub for this one ...
Thanks for the sub and we’ll be shooting more low riders soon here. They’re so different and unique
AutotopiaLA I was born and raised in Cali ... then moved here to Texas ... but the culture of it is different then any other car styles .... it has a little bit of everything ... and can cost just as much as any super car ... stay safe out there .. and love the channel ! Have a good one !
