In this video, I will explain the many benefits of sea salt and the negative side effects of iodized table salt.
    Negatives of Iodized Table Salt:
⁃ Contains MSG, anti-caking agents and aluminum derivatives
    ⁃ Increases blood pressure
    ⁃ Leads to weight gain
Benefits of Sea Salt or Rock Salt
⁃ Contain as many as 80 trace vitamins and minerals
    ⁃ Hydration
    ⁃ Support kidney detoxification
    ⁃ Cleansing of colon
    ⁃ Health of libido
    ⁃ Brain function
    ⁃ Heart health
    ⁃ Overall energy levels
My two favorites are Himalayan salt and Celtic sea salt that you should get into your diet on a regular basis.
It is best to get 1/4 tsp per meal 3 times a day.
⁃ If you are an athlete or sweating a lot, you may need more.
⁃ If you have thyroid issues, then getting real salt on your food every day is a must!
With salt, you also need to get more potassium-rich foods to have a healthy ratio balance for fluid exchange which is critical for detoxification. Hydration is not just getting more water, but also getting more sodium and potassium. Here is an article on my website about potassium-rich foods: draxe.com/top-1...

I'm so glad I started gargling with sea salt and Himalayan pink salt, the stuff really works if you have gingivitis or any kind of bacteria in your mouth the salts will get rid of all of that stuff very quickly, love it.

Thank you for that helpful presentation, i remember my Father been at sea , and the captain gave all the crew salt tablets for health, with fruit while at deep and tropical sea, salt was so valued , as it was wages for a lot of people, thus where the word Salary came from, Roman soldiers were paid with salt. A very overlooked mineral , with a lot of bad press, well done for clearing up that.

    Hello,
I appreciate your comments, but have been confused by this for years...
You mention using "Sea Salt" as, of course, is very popular. But is not ALL salt, in fact, Sea Salt? We know, that people have used the seas as sewers for millennia, so would not mined salt, iodized, or not, deposited from before we populated the Earth, promise to be far cleaner? Sincere thanks for your thoughts on this, Lothar

My doctor told me to get more salt in my diet because I get low blood pressure. I also always feel dehydrated and drink tons of water to the point where it gets ridiculous and I swear I almost got water poisoning from drinking too much water. Regular salt did nothing for me, and it is so harsh it hurt my lips and tongue (and stomach) after a while. With sea salt I noticed a difference right away. Way less corrosive if at all, lighter in taste. I felt hydrated all day to the point where I almost forgot to drink water sometimes. Tons of energy. No dizzy spells at all even if I forgot to eat. Its pretty cool actually. Another thing that I noticed is my gum disease stopped hurting for the first time in years. Not sure what is happening but so far sea salt is so much better then regular table salt. It distributes things in your body so your body works better, or at least that's what it feels like for me.

what a quake. Most people do NOT get enough Iodine in their deit. When using salt please buy Iodized salt or Iodized sea salt. Lack of this very important mineral can lead to thyroid issues, fetus development issues, and mental retardation. Health care officials have reported a spike in these issues due to deficiencies of Iodine.

I've heard that some peeps make a "sole" out of pink himalyan salt or a brine..I know some peeps maybe skeptical over this being that they think table salt is bad for you.Is there a specific limit on how much pink salt that your body can consume you would think dropping a chunk of pink halite salt in a glass of purified water would make one sick. I found a Dean Jacobs Himalyan Pink Salt Seasoning Gourmet Fine 3050 MG (found at target and big lots) but also have a Trader Joes and it reads 380mg is there a difference? Of Course with the caking agents isn't it true that there's sugar in Normal Table Salt? I Noticed on both labels of the pink salt says no sugar but what I'd like to know is without Potasium Iodide in a Sea Salt Could that bring Health Issues. I Noticed After I added it to a Glass Of Water I put in my blender took a drink of it and within an hour later it seemed like my heart rate went up a bit I also felt do I have a fever and put digital thermometer in mouth and read 98.5 Is that normal for what Pink salt will do to your body? Trader Joes Told me they get there pink salt Directly from the Himalayan Salt Mine but I've also seen too here on youtube that some peeps are saying that when they mine the pink salt that they use dynamite and others say they don't use dynamite, the 80+ minerals in the pink salt some say woahh I'm not puting plutonium,gold,silver,lead/iron or rust into my body.I'd love to see a Real Breakdown of all the Minerals that in Pink Salt.

Thanks I love Himalayan and truthfully I have experienced the benefits!
I only have one problem in my nose, Excessive Dryness! I did try Himalayan cleanse last year, it did help but I still suffer every winter when dryer air kicks in here in Idaho. It all started when I picked up an orange in the market fruit Isle and sniffed it for smell, well mold spores is what went up my nose!!! I got sick and took me a while to recover. then 8 months later it happens again as I unwrapped a food item black mold spores just came flying towards my face and up my nose!!! terrible! !! that time it took me longer to recover! Ever since I experience excessive Dryness and during winter it worsens and even bloody nose. Any advise? please? much apreciated!!!!

      +Isabel Arias
Isabel, I have been using Xylitol nose spray up my nose, in my eyes, in ears, and to brush my teeth, for close to ten years. As a teacher I was around a lot of colds and flues. I have honestly not had a cold or flue in all this time. In the dry winter season I do it twice a day, morning and night. It destroys phlegm where virus like to live. It also puts an end to eyebrow itch, something people get as they age. There seems no other cure from the doctors for this horrible itch.
It should also help the moisture level in your nose. Do make sure you are drinking enough water in a day. Hint: turn your shower on using only cold water. Draw, collect water from the shower, container on the shower floor, head of shower hose as far away yet able to spray in to fill container. It actually replicates fresher spring water and the water will hydrate you more. (The water molecules may be smaller and more then able to enter cells, rather than just irrigate past them. Of course this is controversial. But try it and see if it helps.) I have purchased a rather expensive passive water unit to do this, and when I use it, the palms of my hands are never sunken in. When I do not, they are very wrinkled and dehydrated. Go figger.😉
I dissolve 5 TBSP Xylitol in 250ml (1 Cup) water and then pour it into a 250ml spray bottle from a dollar store.
      Namaste and care,
      Mhikl

Okay. I know this is an older video and I know it's 1.5g of sea salt per quart of water. Spring water is expensive so im going to buy a water distiller soon. So how much sea salt or pink Himalayan salt should I add per gallon. Distilled water is flat so I should add more salt for taste. 6g per gallon of Spring water but what about Distilled?

Hawaiian sea salt is typically found as black sea salt and can be quite pricey. I talk more about it in this article: draxe.com/nutrition/10-benefits-celtic-sea-salt-himalayan-salt/?

You should be wary of sea salt. Since consumers are checking ingredients more often on food they purchase, at least one supplier is taking advantage of FDA's disregard for additives to sea salt and is proudly proclaiming a "clean" label although their sea salt has "umami" (read MSG) additive included. If you are allergic or have reactions to Umami ingredients or excitotoxins, stay clear of sea salt.

Phillipines has a law that requires salt manufacturers to have the salt iodized. Result? It destroys the local salt industry and imports a significant percentage of total salt supply! 7,000 plus islands surrounded by sea will import salt!! Our law makers are so brilliant!!

I want to do a 2 tablespoon sea salt flush once a week. I hope I didn't make the mistake with buying iodized sea salt.

But isn't salt an inorganic mineral, which is something the body can't process.

I use Himilayan pink salt and black fine Italian truffle salt. The truffle salt kinda smells like stale sweaty socks, but once on food you can't smell it.
