I hate seeing the lead actor leave a show, but the rare times they actually come back are heartwarming.
Rick was why the show was amazing, he was basically 50% of any reason to watch it. A come back would bring me back for sure.
Yeah man. In 7 and 8 Rick and Negan were the only really fantastic parts of those seasons.

If Rick and Michonne don't reunite with the group.... That's kind of an issue right? They said "conclude" the story. Wouldn't we all rather see the story conclude together as a group? Rather than appart in their own shows. I still wish they had just added a season, or atleast concluded it all within the main show
At least this way it won't turn into the Daryl,Carol,Negan and Maggie show!

Andrew Lincoln did say he can’t wait to get the band back together. I think that means there will be a reunion with the group. I’m sure Michoone will have Rick go back with her to meet his son RJ
Andy L left because of the filming shedule - he has a family and was away for months, I think thats why he agreed to do this vs come back to the show, its only 6 episodes vs 16+. I really agree though, it seems silly to split everyone up for spin offs BUT I think they're absolutely bringing the main show back in 5 years to conclude everything, aint no way are we not going to get a Rick/Daryl or Rick/Maggie reunion, I think they're just exploring different stories before eventually coming back for the last mini series as a group.

Me too! I wasn’t expecting to be emotional. I’d stop watching the newest few seasons because they just didn’t address this part of the storyline. Now maybe I’ll go and get caught up.

Don't count on a proper ending. Look how they wrote Rick Grimes off the show. They didn't end him, they left us hanging so they could screw with us and then put it on AMC+ so it costs us more money that just our cable bill does to let us see how they conclude the series.

Scott Gimple referring to everyone’s patience shows that he knows. He understands that covid really screwed the show and the fans, and that they had to work with what they had (and suddenly didnt have), and that the fans have been starving for Rick. He knows. Telling us that our patience will be worth it actually gives me a lot of faith in what those episodes are going to be like. Idk why but the way he said it made me trust it

A TWD episode is basically 45 minutes to one hour of a show. A movie is normally 1.5 to 2 hours long. So six episodes is the perfect length, as expected, it is basically a TV movie trilogy. In a way, AMC is still keeping its word. More importantly, so is Andrew Lincoln ... and now Danai Gurira.
I honestly still prefer a movie simply because movies have bigger budgets than tv shows.

@@Kyogen. there was suppose to a movie trilogy though so they wouldn’t have had to pack it into one movie. 3 movies and so 6 episodes would be more or less around the same length as 3 movies meaning more budget if it was movies.

Those two are brothers to the end! Rick was more of a brother to Daryl than Merle was, and Daryl was more of a best friend to Rick than Shane.

It was looking dry but i knew amc had our back. they couldn't just end the show with all those left open doors. i've missed them and i am so happy that they blessed us to see these two on screen again. thank you, amc and also comic con of course for this beautiful reveal. ❤️

Next year there will be 6 TWD episodes with all of that. We won't see it in season 11 (maybe we get a sneak peek) but the rest will be in 2023. I'm glad they won't leave us hanging.

I've sticked with TWD mother series since the beginning and have supported It in it's ups and downs but they should Just drop all these differenti spin offs they have planned and Just focus on concluding the main series in the most sarisfying way possibile. Ok, i get It that Rick Is finally going to be coming back but let's face It, he should have never left. The series has suffered Andrew Lincoln's absence and announcing so many spin offs takes any excitement out of the main series since we know the series isn't really over, knowing Negan, Daryl, Maggie ecc are going to come back delutes the dramatic climax. To be honest TWD will finally be complete once we see Rick's ending

Personally, I would really like to see Rick appear in the last episode(s) of the original series. Regardless of any planned mini series! Like others have stated what remains of the original cast members have to be reunited, to provide some sort of satisfying closure; regardless of all the other planned spinoffs, that for most, I don't really care for!
