Things can look all sorts of ways and still be completely different when it comes down to it. So while andrew is blaming kirkman for spilling the beans he should really be mad with himself because he was the one to actually confirm it. besides if you look at the track record, kirkman isn't exactly truthful when it comes to the contents of upcoming episodes. anything he said could be taken with a grain of salt and dismissed honestly.
You have to read into any Walking Dead interview that it is always not what they say a lot of times but they don't say. He said he's leaving the show but he did not say he is quitting the show. He says this is his last season in some previous interview, he did not say it would be his last episode. Please don't confuse episode with season. This made me his last full season but he may still appear in several episodes, which are not seasons. He will not die he will just leave somehow to somewhere for a while.
