Nice catches. Do you know the days when the CN switcher works the CN East Spur (which ends near highway 409 at the chemical plant and at one point, continued farther on a separate track)? I have been wanting to get some shots along that spur for a while now and if I were to know the days of the week when it operates, it will be very helpful.
I don't know anything about freight train schedules. I went to Etobicoke North around 11AM since that's roughly when two VIA trains pass by. Otherwise it would be very monotonous with nothing but UP trains. It was simply luck that there also happened to be a CN shunter in the hour I was out there.
