It would likely cut down your trash to throw the grass from the sidewalk onto the lawn then when you mow the wasted grass will get composted back into the earth.

Spencer, besides the fact that the rainwater can now flow freely to the storm sewer, so many people thank you. The pedestrians, people using crutches, wheelchairs, those who push a stroller and the blind trying to navigate a sidewalk that was totally obscured will appreciate your efforts. This was an extraordinary effort on your part and a job certainly well done.

I was thinking the same thing.i purchased a home in 2006. The neighbor next door had his gutters drain into my yard. This guy told me it is illegal to do that. Well I called the city and sent him a letter.he didn't talk to me for 4 years. When I got my yard rolled in the spring I couldn't belief the dip. It took 2 loads of dirt to fill in the dip . Yes I have watched a few channels and wonder why a rake and broom and wheelbarrow don't come in handy. In the winter when I shovel l, the shovel can hit the edge of uneven sidewalk or weeds that grew in the driveway. Not easy on the body. All the scraping and bending SB does. Makes me think down the road they oversee employees when worn from repetitive injury. But they are talented and would probably not like a desk job.

      10-20 years is my guess.

Nature will take back land real quick, brambles will cover a single concrete track within a year, grass a little longer, but I bet that is less than ten years, maybe as little as five!
Would the city really leave it 10-20yrs before issuing enforcement notices?

I've watched this video and similar videos from other people and one question keeps coming up in my mind. As I watch you and other lawn maintenance workers clean overgrown walks, I also see you cleaning vegetation growing in the street itself. This is clearly outside the responsibility of the homeowner. Cleaning the street comes under the Public Works Department, either on the county or municipal level. The homeowner pays real estate tax to fund this work. In short he has already paid for the work to be done. If it isn't done, the Works Department needs to be notified that they are in dereliction of their duties. Don't do DPW work for them. Make them come out and do it if they've been sloughing off on it.

I totally agree with you but they don't do that in my town. It's all on the homeowner!

I don’t think the average homeowner has the training or insurance to be working in live traffic! 😳

I guess I’m weird but I enjoy seeing the shadow of the camera tripod. Some say that’s not good filming, but for your type of videos it’s good to see the trueness. Idk I’m weird I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️❤️

Thats why he was doing this for the homeowner. When this video was originally posted I believe the homework is either elderly or disabled. The guy who run this channel does this for people who cant for free to prevent fines from their city.
