I’ve seen Habib play live from about 5 feet away at ground level, the camera angle really doesn’t do it justice how hard and heavy he hits the ball, especially on his forehand . Great win!

@@KaruesellHQ Karue, congrats. I just wanted to ask... when you play on challenger..... how do you move to the tennis courts from the hotel? Is there organized some bus or is it up to you? I guess it is not such a service like on Grandslams :D ...... I am super curious about those things.
@@davesufci1929 don't know about other Challenger events but in Augsburg (Ger) there was a Shuttle Service of five BMW X5 and the drivers got to the players when they called. I guess it's different from tournament to tournament 😅
Phenomenal win mate. Habib absolutely crushes the ball. I can’t believe that last game and your relentless pressure on his forehand. You looked so tough out there and your tennis IQ is off the charts.
I remember back when you thought your forehand was your weakness. Boy does it appear to be a strength now, equal to all these big forehand hitters (like Habib appeared to be)! Also your ability to defend deep heavy shots and get out of those corners with quality (if you had hit short balls - like we ALL do - he would have certainly feasted). Major kudos and showing the way Karue
Currently watching Wimbledon, I got waaaayyyy more pumped watching your match than any match I've watched in Wimbledon. Keep the momentum. Again, if you make your way to the Winston 250, you got a free place to stay and drive to the matches. I will take a week off work to escort you to and from. Really enjoying the content.
I read an article in The Guardian titled "The Loneliness of the Low-Ranking Tennis Player" the other day. I had never thought about just how hard it is to be out there trying to climb up the rankings--the loneliness, the time on the road, the time away from family, the difficulty in finding practice partners at tournaments, etc. Much respect to you for getting back out there and putting yourself through it. It's easy to see how even very talented players like you would question whether or not it is worth it. Thank you for sharing it with us. Glad to see you having success.
yes, exactly what I was thinking about during the match. Do you think they have to move by bus to the courts from the hotel on Challengers? Or do they use uber ... or how does it work? And how about hotels? Are those hotels or hostels?
That was one of the best matches I’ve ever seen! You were amazing. Seemed like his backhand was weak; and he didn’t like it when you brought him to the net with a drop shot - or made him hit volleys. GREAT MATCH MAN!!!
Congrats, huge win. Challenger Tour is so underrated. I go to all Challengers that are close by. So should everyone who loves tennis. Watching the game up close is so much better then in row 10+ in a large GS stadium. I wish the ATP did not focus on the top100 guys so much. I met Marcos Giron this French Open told him to send you my regards also. I hope at some point we can see you with him at RG. Keep going! Loving the content as usual! Thanks
Loving this content Karue! I actually thought the camera angle this time was super and helped me appreciate just how hard both of you were ripping the ball! Would love to hear you speak some Portuguese in one of your videos!
What heart!!! Fire!!! Tactically very strong. Picking on the backhand. He was extremely weak from the front. The angled slice in no-man’s land and make him make a decision he is uncomfortable with!
That's a great hold to win the 3rd set. Habib put himself in some bad court position by running around his backhand. You took some good angles when he left the court open and then came back to his forehand side as a counter. Smart tennis Karue. There's the physically ability to play the game and then in matches it's the "game within the game". Well done sir.
Yea I think a lot of top players are nuts with some of the run-around forehands. Ppl be running around their backhand to hit a jammed forehand by the doubles side-line... Strange!
The format is great. Way to go. You put up a great fight. Kept the ball in place in the returns, and used your tennis IQ and experience very well. You won points at the net, I thought you were going to loose, congrats. Regarding your opponent’s forehand, I think yours is better. You may not always hit it harder but he cannot go through you in your forehand.
Great match! Congratulations. I have been following your tennis adventures for a long time. Very impressive. I like you the way you tell it straight and focus on what you have to do.
Amazing win! You are a natural on clay. Great win because you kept your cool and stuck to the game plan, but were not afraid to get the ball back over the net any way you could when the situation called for it. Keep going!!
Holy shot what an absolute bomb down 3 break points down while serving for the match! It’s really amazing how high this level is, which we don’t really appreciate normally. Great match!
Man I love the clay-dawg Karue lol. I feel like you've been playing so well on the clay. Keep it up man! And btw I prefer these type of video in some way cause it makes you play better kinda.
You are quite literally improving with every match. I've never seen your forehand this good. I've never seen your returns this good! Your movement and incredible backhand are still off the challenger charts- main tour quality on those two for sure. I love most the way you are never satisfied. How good you are now is just not good enough. Don't practice every day to improve everything. Practice EACH day to truly improve ONE thing. Huge amounts of practice on ONE thing is when improvements really happen, and as in any sport, you don't always see it in the practice, but the following day or match, when you suddenly FEEL that it's right there when you need it. I don't know all your particulars, but your first serve looks effective to me even at this level, and I'd say the same about your second. Is this correct? Because if the stats on winning your second serve points ever struggle, at whatever level you are playing, then it's time to consider two flat serves which has a number of advantages I can go into if you want the mathematics of it all. If you are a 60 percent in flat server- and you try 2 flat serves instead, then you will get a flat serve (THE FIRST ONE) in 60% of the time, which leaves the other 40% of the time trying to win behind the second. But if the second is another flat serve, you will get 60% OF that other 40% in. In mathematical word problems the word "OF" translates to multiplying. So 60% X 40% is 24%. So, 60% of the time you get the first one in PLUS 24% of time the second one goes in, yielding a total of 84% of the points in your service games start with a hard flat serve in, and you win a huge percentage behind these. This basically mean you hand the opponent one double fault per service game, sure, but how many points does he win now by getting an aggressive return on your second serve? Two flat serves is very disconcerting to an opponent. It basically takes the racquet out of his hands and totally disrupts his normal return game feel. ALSO- occasionally you will throw in a spin serve- especially on a first serve, and he will totally flub these because he is never expecting this. In fact, you will want to save these largely for pressure points that you really need, because you might be more likely to double fault under pressure. 2 Flat serves has other advantages- you only need to practice one serve mostly, so you will improve it much more, especially in landing percentage, but also MPH and accuracy. If you start getting 70% in, the numbers are amazing. 91% of the time you will get one in! This means only around one double fault per TWO games almost, and at that point it's almost impossible to lose service games unless DJokovic is returning. This might not apply to you because your second serve looks really good but again, I don't know what your stats are behind your second serve.
DUDE what a match! that was a battle. Your serve was HUGE too, i think all you could do was return his serve center court. as a fellow 30 year old this is so inspiring

Man, you improved sooooo much in the last year! You got so fast and super explosive. This guy really hit super hard, and you still managed to get to these balls and deflect those heavy shots! Huuuuuge Respect!!!
Before I saw your end commentary, I kept asking if there was a speed gun on Habib's serve because I've never seen someone take the racket out of your hand on return, not even Fritz in your practice match. That last game was so clutch. I had a couple matches in college that were close that I squeaked out but that was about as good as it gets, because out of the last 5 points only the last was an unforced error. Bravo!
Great close there at the end. Your forehand is looking improved. I was actually glad to see you hit a few of them long in the middle of the match because you are going for more. Maybe there is a little more snap/explosiveness left on the table there but that might just not your game. Kudos Karue.
4:38 oh man, would have been sick if you made that shot. Would you say you are getting close to the level you were at your best? I have only followed you the last 8 months or so, but it seems you have become FAR better since i started watching your videos.
Fun match to watch. That guy had a huge serve. What won the match was a great attitude, taking the ball early on both sides, solid effective serving, and smart shot placement. I still think he plays more like Nalbandian rather than Federer. I want him to come to net even more, but with how hard the other guy was hitting, not the easiest thing in the world to do. Onwards toward the top 100 :).He can do it!!! Great win.
The balance in your shots reminds me of Fognini. Despite turning pro late for tennis, I think you have top 100 capability if you can remain injury free. Keep it going!!
