A moderm turning machine há 5 asix, it can cut by both of turining type and milling type. Using tungsten carbire tools can cut hard workpiece and can make the differen shape.

Hi, the head of my 125FD (MY 2011) has a range of -6° to 90°, full CNC, no Hirth Clutch ore else. It can turn in any Position within this range, even with TRAORI function (Sinumerik)
@@nicu.gheara You can turn in every Angle and milling full 5 Axis simultaneous. BUT the machine is not ideal for 5 axis simultan because of the axis - layout it cannot go over -90° and the y-Axis can only go Y-300mm, newer models a bit more. but you can deal with using the c-Axis . Great machine in terms of stability and very good precision for it`s size. You can cut easily 6mm in by example 42CrMo4 (1.7225) with lathe and milling Ae 12mm AP 25mm with a Ø20mm HPC endmill. Reliabilty is not as good when compared by Hermle, Mazak, Okuma , there are some issues from time to time. But I dont want to talk bad, its one of the most capable machines I`ve worked on in my cnc - life (since 1986). The newer models are also very good in gear milling, DMG and Sinumeric are top notch in this category.
