"We figured at the hospital, they would have plenty of pens" 🤣Just did Mowry road to Tekoa.....phew! snow, ice, cougar tracks, small ice lakes on the road, mud! Beautiful.
Really interested in your gear selection. Back pack versus panniers, water bottles on front forks. What worked, what would you change. Tire sizes. Did you have many flat tires? etc. Thanks in advance. Your efforts will make a difference.
I did this ride with 26" X 4". It worked fine. You wouldn't need to go that fat for this trail. I had zero flats. My wheels are set up tubeless. As far as the gear, I prefer to have the bike haul all of the stuff. Each bike is different so it is hard to recommend the best placement of gear. Trial and testing is the best way to figure this out. Good luck!
Wow you went out there during that heat wave? Braver man than I am. Good stuff, been wanting to see what this trail actually looks like, most people show just the tourist sections but this is the real deal.
Im digging the Cane Creek Thudbuster seat post!!! I really love mine on my gravel and hard tail mountain bike!!!
@@mikelawrence1377 Makes trips much easier. I have become a big fan of the Thudbuster.

Nice video. You think there's any problem taking a heavy ebike with 4" tires on this section?
You should be OK.

We were very unwise to ride the trail during the heat. It really is a great trail though. Thanks for watching.
How do you bring enough water. I rode in the desert one day in temps like that but I had a turn around option and did.
We had to make room for lots of water. We also planned spots to stop and fill up. Water is heavy but necessary for such trips.
Why no helmets?
That trail looks horrendous. I'm from northern Indiana and I'm used to green trees . Also looks like a lot of loose sand and rocks to deal with.
No helmets!?
