- This video takes you on a test drive in an ICON TR, our version of the 1947-53 Chevy 3100 five window pick up. Come along while I explain what goes into such a project, and what makes an ICON an icon!
The walnut bed is such a great choice to mix with all those browns. Your lighting design features are incredible, the taillight detail is particularly awesome. There is so much I love about this build! I've always tried to customize my cars, houses, it's always been a sleeper approach. Thanks so much for sharing!
your products are unmatched. look forward to owning one someday.
Awesome build, love that bison hide
Very nice looking , love the look of the truck, truly nice.
Really nice rig!
This is my dream car. Holy hell, you guys are awesome.
besides the derelicts I love the Toastmasters the most
While your at it, those 'peep' style mirrors with the integrated turn signal would be
items I would purchase.
very very cool
like to see more audience reaction--like wow!!
just a thought
great great looking truck, the beard is looking great also.
The image stabilization is pretty wonky here, beautiful truck.
The only thing I don't love (besides the cup holders) is the gas filler in the bed. Seems like you'd be dumping gas all over that beautiful walnut at every fill up. And what happens if the bed is full? Wouldn't a side panel filler be better?
I want one, but will never be able to afford it.
Great truck. Love the ICON attention to detail. If I ever win the lottery I'll look you up!
Best vehicles ever!
Very very nice!!
Do you make your own body harnesses in house or do you get them made?
Jonathon Ward have you ever considered doing a Thriftmaster derelict edition?
People would pay $500 for the window switches in my opinion. $200 is very reasonable
Lets not give them any ideas now...
Should it in the near future come into significant wealth. You can look foward to my procuring one.
Yell yah let me know when i can give you my money for some power windows 🤘
Yo Jonathan it's creepy when you look dead in the camera.
What is the cost to build one?
How much does one of these trucks cost???
May I ask what hat you are wearing?
I’m thinking none of these vehicles is under $100k. 🙁
l love this truck its so clean there s nothing l d change on it not even the colors !! l only add hitch receiver for boler type camper trailer and bison hide tonneau cover (keep luggage covered on trips)and German carpet liner as not scratch the beautiful bed ,because if l this we be travelin !!
PS if l could give a dozen thumbs up on here l would l just love your attention to details !!
$200 ish for that window switch wiring kit is not out of order. I'd probably get 1 or 3..
I'd be interested in a pair.
Same here. Would love this.
I also would be interested in a kit if it was in the 200ish range
I would get a kit I'm doing a 1960 f100 and that would be perfect for this build
Never understood ownership of low riding trucks, have always talked crap about trucks without much clearance. I would do some terrible things to own this truck and put millions of miles on it. If i ever have money, i have yet to see anyone building at the same quality and innovation that yall are. Putting some of the nicest parts together to make some of the most beautiful vehicles on the road. Another Great build Mr. Ward! Dream Worthy!
Jonathan Ward, just have to figure out how to go back in time and use my students loans to buy that truck once you've built it.
Jonathan Ward . I have a 1940 chevy pickup truck. I would like to know if you have a Parts catalog for these old pickup trucks. I want to start buying parts for my interior. I also am hoping to get a replacement grill from top to bottom if you know what a 40 chevy pickup grill looks like. Thanks a lot for your time. DAVE
Please create a retail version of the power window kit. I would buy it.
Stunning as always...again a awesome job that you have done! Still collecting Dollars for the first 54's 3100 out of your hands :-))) . Oh boy - that would be so cool.....dreaming....
Kind regards from Germany, Robin.
Wow, not to diminish in any way your other creations, but this one is simply stunning.
I wonder what icon classic mini cooper would look like. I would do that was if was sub 50 K. Have you ever thought about what you do for automotive and translating to home goods? It's just different form of design.
Jonathan - Awesome as always! - Looking forward to the next dark green gloss - but admire the satin stealth sleeper in kind with the Derelict brand ... Please have the talking head explain in detail the glass used - especially on the curved side windows?
Jonathan, $200.00 for the extreme quality work that goes into ICON Products is dirt for a super cool window interface unit!As usual, Thanks for sharing your creations with us...Jerry
Great Job Jonathan! Keep up the quality work!
I love the build shots while you're talking also.
Rebuilding an old Mustang, and that kit would be very cool to have. I would do $200 easy for full window control.
Definitely interested in the power window kit. DO you offer any of the other custom goodies for sale, such as reverse lights, armrests, door and window handles?
If I'm ever fortunate enough to be able to purchase one of these, I will daily it forever. Lol
Wow nice job as always
I want an ICON! Just not within my budget at this time. But I’m working on that!
I love the color, reminds me of a Malibu SS my dad painted years ago. Greyish hued brown, color would look different depending on how light hit it-Grey to brown, to sometimes even black.
do it!!! I need cool stuff for my VW beetle and notchback.
This truck is just about perfect- one of your best. I love everything but if it were mine I'd forego the cup holders. Also, I like the build in-progress footage and photos.
This truck is insane! Great job to you and your crew. I liked the vid too.
Yes make the kit
Happy birthday trabalho Jonathan Wars icon thrifimaster Tor of details parto 🏆👌🏿 😎 sema show 2020 amém você vai
HA! At 7:44 the guy in the Beamer checking it out like "DOH! I could have gone that route!"
Beautiful job. My favorite Chevy truck 👌🏼💯
I am so impressed with everything!! Power window idea at 300ish great idea!! Me visor, I want them for my truck..
Jonathan, your team has made yet another dream machine. Simply stunning.
Love everything you guys do. If I ever come across a large sum of money, you'll be the first I call.
Really interested in that wiring kit for the windows; would like to know more about them. Would it be an addon to the existing switch units, or a complete kit? Please link us up with some more info on your site if you can.
Only two people working to build these beauties!?
I'll work for you ASAP. Just the pleasure of building such nice products, phew.....
I am curious as to the quarter mile times of a truck like this. 0-60 times? 0-100? 100-0 brake tests. How does an awesome build like this compare to a brand new truck? It would be great to see a head to head comparison between this and a new truck. Thanks for making this videos available! As always living vicariously through them... One day when I win the lottery I'll own something like this!! Guess I have to start playing the lottery...
2 guys doing 3 of these a year is actually pretty impressive, I work at a hotrod shop with one other guy and builds like this we would say a year
One of my favorites. The plastic seat belts kinda turn me off with everything else being just beautiful and classy. I'd CNC the seat belts on that one if I owned it. On others it's not as bad but that truck needs them to me. I want it lol. Nice work tho. Outstanding.
I love the trucks, I've think they are such works of art and passion but PLEASE, I know you can do better on those awful cup holders. ( I hope they are a troll move)
Another beautiful Thriftmaster. Under all that hair bison sure are wrinkly!
Awesome truck and vid! The contrast change that is constantly blinking in and out though got very fatiguing though. It's all through the video, but there's one at 12:30 specifically if you're wondering what I'm talking about.
Make an video about the power window wiring. How it work etc etc
im telling you mr.ward you are in high gear!!one day when I grow up I want one of your truck's
That bison leather is incredible. The guy gawking in the 7 series in the background can only dream of such detail.
Dressed as sharp as the truck. Love it Jonathan. 👍
Sir, thank you so much for a wonderful video
Beautiful build... Good choice on the color scheme.
I like how you have tried to keep the "Bones" of the original GM design......Keep that up.
hellz ya korginvile park 😎
I love your refreshing sarcasm. ;-)
woo hoo a real F on the fan control knob!!! lol
What engine are you going to put in the Ferrari 250GTE on your website? Does that get an LS swap too?
Waiting to see the Rolls Royce finished to make a decision if too discuss the same project with you ?
I'll never be able to afford one but I am hooked on the derelicts and the thrift masters. Great job!
count me in for the window switch.
Terrific truck! I wanna see a grand wagoner thriftwagon! Wish someone would commission one with you!
I had a '48 3/4 ton. Have you gotten any feedback from GM, I'd imagine they'd be pleased with your hard work.
My dream truck. One day....
super, love it you the man, thanks for sharing
you do great work my friend. whens a derelict build coming?
That nickel trim looks so good
Give me an original any day
What is poly-urea? You mention it in every video.
Jonathan, great work. love to see another classic put back on the road in a cool, safe way. you may already do this but I would love to see a roll down rear window. I'm sure with the space, angles, etc its not easy but if anyone can engineer it, its you guys.
I would love to show your cars to people who don't believe a car can be art.. also if you make 90's plastic parts in metal im convinced you'd be an American hero
Love that interior, awesome truck all around!
Although I am a Ford guy and early Bronco owner, this is one of my favorites.
"jump the shark".... Haha
henry winkler will never live that one down.
Awesome pickup.
Is #5 spoken for?
Great build! Love these TRs. And those power window kits sound cool and 200 bucks sounds good too, I'm sure they'd sell :)
Do the Window thing, 200 is good!!!if not great
Love these! Would love to see an International Travelall derelict build.
Dreamcar.
That's Cheap..... Keep up the good work
Sorry fir the second comment but have you ever considered using old german leather from a 60's 70's era Mercedes? By far the best leather fitted to a car in my opinion
Yes!!! Custom aftermarket power window cranks please😉
Please make the window switch better.
Great video, love them Thriftmasters!!
beautiful!
do a Volvo I think that would be sick
