Folks coming in to watching this video need to realize the punk rock scene today is some of the most judgmental, sensitive and stubborn group of fans out there. Fact.

Talk about a drastic change in their fan base. The fans here are objecting to Rise Against playing with a Pop-Punk band like Fall Out Boy (I'm willing to bet this show was somewhere around 2002-2003 so Fall Out Boy still had their Pop Punk roots). This year Rise Against toured with Linkin Park, one of the lamest bands on the planet, and the reactions to that were all fairly positive.
I think Tim was actually being serious. Well sorta, Pete and Patrick are his friends (from a band called Arma Angeus) so I think he tries to act like he likes Fallout Boy sometimes but just can't fool himself. :)
This sucks cuz Pete Wentz and Tim McIlrath used to be buddies and stuff. Both bands are from Chicago so it makes sense that they know each other.
And they were literally in the same band Arma Angelus...
He said, "pretty good!" indicating that he thought FOB was... pretty good.
The way Pete and Tim were in Arma Angelus together at one point and RA opened for Fall Out Boy back in 2017.....
At least Tim was polite.
