This reminds me of surfing early morning in mission beach SD ca, smelling the breakfast air coming from the boardwalk, Mr. Ds! breakfast ala 1970s.

Sometimes I get such long rides on my WAVESTORM that I can ride up the beach and down the sidewalk to my 4 runner

I bought one used/never had a soft top.
Daytona was basically a lake the week we were there.
I'm too lazy/cheap/old to drive to Ponce Inlet anymore.
It'd been better there.

Looks like Pacific Beach in San Diego. I learned how to surf there and it was very beautiful.
@@BRZguy I surfed PB a few months ago as my first time! It was amazing, waves everywhere and it was crowded but there's room for everyone

Great video thanks. I noticed when you fail your hands were crossing your knees maybe try keeping each hand on the outside of each knee. Watch some Tommy curren videos who was the master of this

I noticed you have wax on this board - just got a couple for my son and I and we are not sure if we need to wax them or not and what wax to use if yes.
use wax, i would do a quick search on what wax to use, depends on board and temperature. I use cool wax.
Hey Aqua Lung, man you’re a cool dad to buy your sons the boards, that’s awesome! Yes you definitely want wax on those boards. I would probably recommend sticky bumps cool, its soft enough for the board and you may not have to reapply as often. In my experience at least.
WAX UP YOUR WAVESTORMS
Wax is optional with Wavestorms and a matter of taste.
If you keep the board outside, and it gets dusty, it’ll feel pretty slippery. For my daughter, we put a light, diagonal grid with lines about 4” apart. As others have mentioned, a cool water wax is soft, works well, and can put on lightly.
Personally, I find the surfaces of foamie boards (such as Wavestorms) to be a little slick. I like a very light cross grid of wax especially if I’m riding in bigger waves.
You guys were all right, we waxed our boards and have been having a blast!

Thanks for the kind words, and happy you like the video.yes definitely needs wax. The wave storm or any soft top is super slipping. I recently went out and didn’t use enough wax on my catchsurf RNF and it was a disasters haha.

You want long rides just do what I did as a kid in Hawaii. Get one of those 12 foot long hollow wooden boards. Yeah OK they weigh almost 100 lbs and are a pain in the ass to take the beach (I just kept mine there) but you can get the longest rides off of tiny waves ....
