I can understand why the interior of this vessel is the way it is. Working conditions have totally changed over the years for the men on board and so the design of the interior has taken this into account and no doubt to encourage those men to respect those facilities and places of rest provided by its employers or ship owner. And obviously the ships are bigger so more room to facilitate these massive improvements over smaller vessels. As they are at the end of the day still a working ship so need all the space for gear engines storage etc and in ship designs of old this took priority over the crews living conditions. All this has effects how the crew rest and inturn effect productivity so again this is why conditions have also improved. More productive the crew are less mistakes are made so more money they bring in for the company and the crew them selfs depending on pay terms. Nice vessel and all that but I don’t really agree with such large vessels if they do damage to fish stocks. Yes we all have to make a living but why destroy the thing that provides you with a living in the first place.
Years ago fishing was a free for all and you could catch as much or as little as you liked. The government got smart and realised that we were overfishing the oceans so they did loads of tests and imposed a quota system where ships were only allowed to catch a certain amount of fish in certain areas and at certain times of the year, ie. Seasons. Many fishermen realised that the quota wasn’t big enough to sustain a crew and their boats so they either sold their boats and left fishing for good or they sold their boats and rented out their quotas to other boats but some boat owners sold their boats and bought a bigger boat together. But you have to remember they still had the quotas and they can only catch the amount that their quotas states if they are caught catching more or catching in a banned area then they face hefty fines. There was one boat that I know of that was fined somewhere in the region of £4 million.

This is a mighty big death machine
What do you mean “death machine” ?
@@GeorgeLittle-ft2yx I don't remember what I was talking about a year ago
Probably meaning it catches mega heaps of fish
@@communicate17 look back in the thread
That's not a fishing boat, that's a ship industrial fishing the sea.
WTF that's a floating hotel.
ridiculous to think any of the 'nice-ness' of this will last when actual working deck men come in here on a regular basis
They have å "dirtymess" for their breaks when they are working on deck. They are not allowed inside wearing their work gear
Reminder to bring 25 Japanese girls to keep the place clean!!
Have to walk the plank if fishermen went into the galley with oil skins on way too fancy for real work like I know
