  • A full length video with 3 cameras showing the full process of hauling the two trawls, taken the fish out and setting them again on the norwegian twinrig trawler Tobis.
    I chose to show the full time since I know many of you are interested in the full proces of this. If you are not the skip ahead!

    Really like this video, I've never fished before but I have (granted, VERY basic knowledge of the some of the processes) some knowledge of how they work, but have never had the opportunity to see them work until this video. Keep up the good work, really enjoyed this video.

    Great video Rasmus, I had the Lomur - we bought from Iceland 1995 - 26m with ramp and we worked twin rig East of Shetland. Brings back memories. My son works on the Aalskere, recently finished at Thyboron (Kynd and Toft) designed by Ove Kristensen. Great vessel!

    So much easier than hauling on the Karback,great video,good men on the deck ,some very experienced men there.

    • @RasmusHald
      @RasmusHald  4 года назад

      It actually took the same time to get the gear in and out again on Karbak, as long as there was nothing wrong. The big advantage of this deck is that its so easy to work with the nets, change sensors, or swap to a different trawl.

      @@RasmusHald ,thanks so much for giving us a in depth video of hauling and shooting away ,what speed are you going ahead when hauling the gear?

    • @RasmusHald
      @RasmusHald  4 года назад

      Jusr so much that I can hold the wirers straigth away from the ship. Once we start with the Gilson winches its very slow going or the net might jump up and hurt people.

    Great video, thank you. I would very much appriceate if you could do avideo where you show the different types of winches you have and describe their purpose...how the process is working and how you use the winches one by one when shooting and hauling. Many thanks.

    How does the crew knows when the nets are ready to be pulled in? Any special equipment on board or just due to the vessel speed difference / power requirement ?
