Hello everyone! :D
A new INFINITE ECLIPSE track has been released! Today, I present to you Aqasha's theme! And for that track, I had the help of an incredible and amazing singer: Shelley Harland!
"Aqasha is the Goddess of Destruction, sister and nemesis of Nerath, Goddess of Nightmares.
She's a powerful divinity and calamity, stronger than an erupting volcano and more cataclysmic than a thousand meteors. Her power is based on fire, raw force and any natural catastrophe.
Her coat is gold in fusion and her mane is a mix between pure fire and magma.
The magic used by a Goddess is pure life-force - this isn't the kind of magic a simple unicorn can use... nor can fight. Being too close to Aqasha will only result as being completely turned into ashes in mere seconds.
No one can withstand the presence of a Goddess like Aqasha or Nerath for a long time - those aren't the same kind of Alicorns than their past hosts.
While she cannot talk, she has her Voice: the High-Priestess of Destruction, now named Ayzat. She's the one speaking for the Goddess and controling their army of Molten - the creatures corrupted by Aqasha, blindly following any order from Ayzat.
More ancient than the world itself, the existance of those Goddesses were known to no one - they whispered in the mind of their respective High-Priestess that the moment of their awakening had come, after sleeping for more than 25.000 years."
Shelley sings as Ayzat, chanting about her Goddess who finally awoken and ready to conquer the entire world and beyond. Fire and destruction is the only thing she leaves behind her when anything crosses her path.
Her mouth is Aqasha's words and her action is Aqasha's will - she's the head of the Molten.
I tried to detail a bit more the lore and put more in context who are the two Goddesses, to describe what kind of being they are and - more importantly - to describe how dangerous and powerful they are.

Usually, it is: "Where are Twilight and her friends? Discord?" - Those characters will be featured in the final episode of IE's prequel. A big project that will take a lot of time, ressources and money to make so, be patient please! :)

Ya know, I can just imagine all these two (aqasha and nerath) are really doing is walking towards each other, regardless of obstacles or barriers, they will be shattered by their mere presence, mountains slagged, oceans glassed, and so forth; letting their presence change the landscape and creatures, turning them into tools to empower their Voices to fuel their growing armies in preparation of the battle to come. After all, it doesn't matter if the planet is destroyed or survives. It is beneath their notice.

I like this song you’ve got here. It fits well with this character. In a fanfic perspective, I’d see Aqasha as the kind of entity that would somehow choose Celestia as the host for becoming Daybreaker. I say this because Daybreaker lives for destruction and has no interest in any creature but, herself.

Aqasha is actually a quite different character - to be honest, she doesn't have maleficious intent, or anything. She just destroy because it's her purpose. It's like a volcano - a natural disaster. She's a goddess and her only focus is to fight her nemesis, Nerath, though many ways (like a world-scale chess game, for example ;))

@@Wendek. the reason the gap was short between FE and Aqasha is because I had personal issues on my side. Final Eclipse was originally planned for end of July / beginning of August, and Aqasha's theme for October, in the new P@D.
I finished both song almost on the same time.
Meanwhile, Nerath's theme isn't composed yet, only early stage wip ^^
No more new song this year, don't know when will be the next non-IE track either
Also, the gap between Nerath's theme and the final episode will be insanely longer, because the final episode is a colossal project x)

It's horrid that these spirit's are practically using the dead bodies of the former princesses.

The continued production of creative gems like this neatly disproves what the anti-fans, and even our own doomers, have been saying about our fandom's greatly exaggerated "death" since the FiM finale aired. A language only dies when there are no fluent speakers left, and a fandom only dies when fans are no longer have the interest to create fan art. Keep on keepin' on, artists!

@@Duchess_Van_Hoof Yeah, this one has been quite "special" since I had personal issue and had to move all the schedule.
The original schedule was a release of "Final Eclipse" in early August and a release of "Aqasha" for P@D:Eclipse, which would have been mid-October.
Both songs were finished almost in the same time but Nerath's theme still has to be composed (and lyrics written, vocals sung, artwork drawn and video made) ^^
And for the final episode after Nerath's theme... o boï, it'll take much more longer - months I'd say, considering how huge I plan to make this finale!

this transcended music, this transcended story, *THIS IS MYTHOLOGIE*
Something I have noticed with these.
The remaining survivor related songs usually seem inspirational. Drawing out courage and adrenaline with a final stand, each battle could be the last.
The Molten seem to be more power and battle related, sometimes seemingly drawing out anger and wanting to rage war. Giving off a more aggressive theme, like a battle cry.
The crystal army seem to be more soft, like a lullaby sometimes, being much less aggressive and more soothing, calming.
This is what I feel at least, if I have described it correctly, and they are AWESOME.
The theme of the Molten to me feel very close to favorites. Being very aggressive and hitting hard on the drums and other instruments. To me it feels like a aggressive, fighting story, something I can image with this kind of music.
The survivors (I know that isn't what they are referred to as I seem to have gathered) have that inspirational stand as I said. Which I really really do love to listen to, telling of a story from their eyes and that the backs are against the wall, pretty much nowhere to go, nowhere to hide, it's now or never kind of feel. I can image a final stand with that kind of music often times, watching as each enemy is slain, and when a creature there falls while protecting what's left.
The crystal army i can see more of a calmer (Yet still deadly)approach. More calculated and watching in the shadows, with prayers, humming, soft singing and or a choir. Waiting in line to strike from the shadows. The songs that go with the Crystal goddess herself believe it or not usually let me focus on things i need to do. Listening to those really calm me down from being more amped up from other music.
Each song has that one little specialty in them that tags along with a theme. It's cool to see some people legit have that kind of eye and keep to it. Your music is INSANELY good to me personally. It feels original and filled with life. That is how it feels to me.
Imagine how it would feel to be one of the handful of ponies still alive at this point, you cast off your fanaticism and united with your hated enemies after you both realized your insane demonic leader would see the world burn in her fight if it meant she'd beat her sister. After an epic battle you emerge victorious...only to realize to your abject horror that all you've done is shatter their mortal shells so their full, terrible power can be unleashed
Yup, can't wait to describe all that and put it into scene in the final episode of the series! :)

Y'know, this is something which spawned through a mishearing of the lyrics, a friend thinking one of the lines was "All life grows beneath the fire," but it gave me an idea that I actually kinda like, that both of these goddesses have some sort of righteous goal which they go about in a less-then-righteous way. Aqasha believing in the idea of growth, of destruction and rebirth, while Nerath strives for unity, the madness making empty slates so all can be united under one voice
Both actually strives for a righteous goal, from their perspective. And, from a certain point of view, one could even consider they're doing is &€-@(€# what is rightfully their.
Though, this topic will be fully explained and covered in Infinite Eclipse: Origin novels :)

Now here's the question: who actually has the power because it seems like the Priestesses are yoinking all of the Goddesses' hard work!
the goddesses have all the power. their priestesses and priests only say what the goddesses tell them.
The High-Priestesses speak for their Goddess and control their army - Aqasha & Nerath doesn't really need to be worried by anything anyway, and let their "generals" do the small work.
Speaking of which, Ayzat and Naegissa (the High-Priestesses) are major character in this series and will be heavily featured in the finale of the prequel!

Don't know why, but when i saw the picture for this track, i had this scene in my head (hoping that my english is good enough) :
Aqasha turns her look to the volcanic area then to the cloudy sky, thinking, red lightnings shimmering on her horn.

I love the drums , it fits so well with the other instruments and makes me think of a an army marching but also of impacts like meteors or explosions

Behold, the secret final evolution of Rapidash!...which would probably wage an epic battle with Arceus for control of the Pokemon universe. My money would be on Aqasha. I don't think even a Master Ball could contain her. Wow, what a crossover that would be! I find it interesting that she doesn't have any adornments like Nerath does. They would probably all burn away on contact.
The line "life crawls within the fire" is chilling to me for some reason.
Another good one, the music and visuals came out really good. Getting really excited to see where it goes next.

Man it feels like just yesterday when Final Eclipse was released, and now this bomb is dropped, I feel spoiled by all of the good music. Literally a second into starting the song and I already really like it. Also at 0:22, is that a callback to Sun of the Night?! The artwork for Aqasha is also incredible, its fairly simple compared to Daybreaker's design but that makes it look far more majestic and imposing. Really nice work as always Jyc!

I just woke up to this and it's beautiful, very fitting voice with it too, it has that primal destructive spiritual vibe perfectly. And I love it, I've listened to it 2 times now, and will probably listen to it some more. It's one you can sing along with, granted if and when I do my parents will wonder what the heck I've been listening to XD. But I usually wait until I'm in my car to do that. Also...her name I don't know how you pronounce it but my brain keeps wanting to say ASquashia XD

Bruh, as soon as I read Jyc's post, I rushed here to give my support for Aqasha. I think the ones in this fandom that like the night, the moon, darkness, Luna, and all that jazz are out of control - someone *has* to stand up to them. I pray that we win, but with how many Luna and Nerath fans there are, I have my doubts.

This song is perfect. It really shows that Aqasha is not there to cause a better future. Shes just there to destroy her opponent, Nerath. The song has a slow pace to show that this is only the start of the destruction, for there is more awaiting in there future.

Fire, an element that can give and take life as it chooses. This piece on its own has managed to symbolize both sides of the spectrum.
Once again simply amazing! So I know you give a good description of her power... but how would you say she scales? Like at full power is she a world threat? Or solar system, or potentially even a danger to the universe?
She's a pure calamity - she can't be at 25, 50 or 75% of her power, it's always 100%. It's a Goddess who doesn't think like any other being and she's totally a world threat. What she does isn't for power, nor conquest, nor crualty. She does that because she's her.
As far as we go now, there won't be any planet exploration or anything - it'll all stay in this world. But she's definitely, like her sister, a total world threat. She exist to confront her sister and they'll fight each other in many different way. Like, playing a world-scale chessgame while using their High-Priestess as "General"
Well... you'll see what happens in the final episode of the prequel! :D

Aqasha meanwhile was not in fury, she only smirked impressed at the creatures bravery and magical power….But Aqasha wasn’t a fool she knew that this power shouldn’t be left alone….it could ruin everything.
Ayzat: “shall I look onto our little problem?”
Aqasha simply nods
And then Ayzat flew towards where the plant life was coming from and exterminate it.

And does her mane looks different from how it was in Final Eclipse because of a specific reason or is it just the artist's choice?
