I have the Taylor GS mini e koa and mini mahogany...mini mahogany sounds better to my ear. I would try the Alvarez if they would start putting out offerings with a satin finish. I like the woods and electronics they use...all of the materials are great...but I'm finding I don't care for the gloss.
Alvarez make a few models with a satin finish if that's your thing. Check out their website. I have had a couple of their gloss models and they have great playability--and they are loud!
