    A job well done. Don't like having to remove intake manifold to replace a starter. Would have taken me ten times as long as you. Good job.

    Hey Ernest, I’d like to recommend if you could please not state what the problem with the car was in the beginning. I like watching the diagnostic stage of the video and then trying to also guess what the problem is myself through a process of elimination. Keep the videos coming! 👍

    I cant believe you had to take so much off just to swap out a starter motor, that is just insane. I would definitely call you in a heart beat. Good job, well done.

    It's getting to the point where you'll need a PhD in mechanical engineering and to remove an entire motor and transmission to do an oil change. Let us pray.

    Little trick to moving our car back, put a lug wrench on the tire and you have leverage on the lug to move the car back

    Great video..
    Hondas always have battery terminal issues dues to the fact there too thin and the clamps 🗜 are too large.
    I just bent a penny and placed it around the terminal and it took up the slack.
    Oh yeah.. I own ‘2015 accord @ 220k

    I have to do this without electric tools and I’m kind of inexperienced any tips or tricks you can give me ahead of time was taking off the whole manifold necessary? I also plan to use the same gaskets

    • @RoadsideRescue
      @RoadsideRescue  Год назад +2

      I usually buy a set of gaskets to have on hand and return them if that tells you how much i trust the old ones. But sometimes you get lucky so if you live close see what happens.
      just the outer part of the manifold. The one bolt on the bottom bracket is the same size. For the first time id expect an hour and a half. longest part is unscrewing the starter bolt without a powertool. No Big Deal! Good Luck!

    It's easier to move a car by pushing on the top of the tire because that essentially gives you a 2:1 advantage. When rolling the top of the tire is moving twice as fast as the car.

      probably not because it didn’t have any voltage problems when the ecu tried to activate the starter so from what the ecu could see everything was working fine 😊

      I actually prefer videos that are around this length, ie 12 to 15 minutes is enough to show us what's involved in the repair, while giving us some background to the story. On the few cases when needed, I'd rather have videos of no more than 15 minutes (or 20 minutes at the absolute most), but then have a clearly labelled "part 2". I sometimes also watch, is it "Pine Hollow Auto Diagnostic"? He's from the NorthEast up towards the Canada border. He often fixes cars that other mechanics and sometimes even official dealerships can't solve, but I can watch a series of 2 or 3 short videos in bite sized chunks ! When I see a thumbnail and a video is 40 minutes or an hour long, it just turns me off straight away.
