Personally, yes. Seems like a faithful return to form in 3D. Graphics do look a bit rough, hopefully they upscale it at least a little bit.
Edit: I don't think I was clear enough, I'm talking about the DP remakes. Arceus looks cool too, but graphics also look really rough in there, if not more so.

That would be sick! But what if you complete the first game storyline black or white, but after beating n, Ghetsis shows that he has kyurem, and then with n you have to fight Kyurem, but it fuses with the two dragons and you fight the original dragon. This would be for the first games maybe.

Is no one talking about how the Pokemon Physical Attack battle animations for Legends actually contact the enemy Pokemon? Like that Gallade REALLY ran up to Garchomp and SLASHED HIM IN HIS FACE!

My point was the community have been shouting for Diamond/Pearl remakes for years but now they have been revealed more people are talking about the Legends game and rightly so tbh.

But I never played the original snap, I don’t know if I’ll get bored of the game, so I’ll probably wait a while to get that when it’s on sale. But I’ll watch people play snap and maybe they’ll convince me to just get it.

Ok, I'm just happy it seems like they're actually trying to innovate on the formula instead of just iterating on it. Even from a presentation standpoint I love that the battles just take place wherever instead of being in some vague 'arena'. It's still functionally the same but it looks way cooler. I noticed some new animations as well instead of just the general attack effects we've seen before. That (I'm guessing) Close Combat from Lucario looked pretty cool.
This. I think that this shows that Gamefreak have actually listened to the criticisms they have gotten recently and have listened to fans ideas. They are branching out to other developers, they have made gen 4 remakes and a free roam game and they seem to have given it a good, honest attempt.
I think that legends needs more work, it looked kinda empty and personally I have a problem with the shadows and the framerates

There's actually a fun DBZ themed remake of Gen 1 that you can play on an emulator. It's basically just Gen 1 but with fun skins

I like how people wanted the diamond and pearl remakes and now that their here a lot of people are like who cares give us more legends
I knew about the remakes before they were officially announced. There was a pattern since Gen 4 with HG/SS and Gen 6 with OR/AS. It was only inevitable for GEN to have Gen 4 remakes. I do have some worries on Pokemon Legends as in this being the game that the journalist was talking about in late 2018 and early 2019 having it compared to BOTW and would this be the game that the toxic community wants as a breath of fresh air from the usual formula.
I am one of those, I am happy for pokemon legends, (more or less, I don't really like the graphics and since i don't know anything about the story is hard to say). But I am generally disappointed, remakes are copy and paste of the old games. I don't think I'll buy them because I don't see the difference from the 2007 games. And i'm sad about it i waited for so long, like everyone. I would have preferred something like ORAS, I wanted new forms or abilities for starters and legendaries.

the way they phrased it in the description of the remakes was very concerning. practically every second sentence they said something about them being 'faithful remakes' or 'carefully preserved' or 'familiar locations' or whatever. it seems like they were *really* trying to push the fact that the games were super similar to the originals if you rewatch it a few times while looking for that stuff.
good because there was lots of confusion it would be let's play. omega ruby alpha sapphire also faithful remakes.
I mean, I hope they take a fair few of the improvements and additions from Platinum too... probably not though
To be fair, at the end they said it would be a “nostalgic yet fresh” experience. For now, I’m gonna be optimistic and assume that the rest of their phrasing was just meant to assure fans that these games wouldn’t lose anything that made the originals good, which was my initial worry (though obviously I can’t speak for everyone else).
@@thunderphoenix256 when it comes to remakes, consider this, HeartGold and SoulSilver were remakes or Gold and Silver... but they have content that was exclusive to Crystal i.e. the Battle Tower/Frontier and the Suicune story, ORAS were remakes of Ruby and Sapphire... but they have content that was at the very least not in the original game, i.e. the dozens of Mirage Islands, the Eon Flute, Primals and Megas (from X and Y), and the DexNav among other things set the game apart
So Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl... if they follow their old formula, i.e. keep MOST of the old stuff, HD everything up and then add stuff not originally present in the game, like the Distortion World, like the Battle Frontier (pls Gamefreak, don't forsake us again!) and the event stuff that they could integrate into the postgame... they can do all this and more... the question is, will they?

I really hope to god that they make Pokemon Legends into a full series where we have an open world game starring the main Mythic pokemon of each generation, so Mew for Kanto, Celebi for Johto, Jirachi for Hoenn, Victini for Unova, Diancie for Kalos, Zeraora for Alola, and an actual open world Galar with Zarude.

My theory was they were gonna try sticking DP on mobile phones. Legends, the new direction has alot of promise it's just up to gamefreak to realize its potential so who knows.

When I saw the iconic *thud* I knew the Pokemon Company understood their fanbase.
Everyone was begging mr pikachu to make a game similar to breath of the wild... they actually listened 🥲

Is the Legends game a anime reference, like for that Arceus time travel thing? Breath of the Rowlet looks damn fine tho.
It seems pretty obvious to me that Legends Arceus was initially going to be the Gen 4 remakes. Either because they didn't have enough time or enough creativity (or both), they got another company to make relatively quick and simple remakes while they stretch a tech demo for the Gen 4 remakes into a separate full game.
Arceus taking place in Sinnoh and essentially being one big wild area is a dead give away.
Basically instead of two game freak teams working on game A and game B, Ilca and Masuda will work on the remakes while gamefreak works on the “new” game.

I completely agree with your opinion on the remakes and I’m also excited for legends of arceus. That being said, ill still absolutely buy at least shining pearl

@@Dream-bw6rz Update: In the new box art for legends, and the description of Legends on the main website, it has been confirmed that there is a plot and story, and there are multiple locations. (Such as the undestroyed Spear Pillar that can be seen in the Box Art) Plus, under the specifications, it says that the number of players is "To be determined", meaning there's a chance that it will be multiplayer.
I'm personally fine with how the Sinnoh remakes look. It's vastly different from what we're used to, and I feel like it could be charming if it's done well
I hope they clean it up a little bit, but I too like the 2.5D overworld style. I liked the Link's Awakening remake style and this feels similar
