    The voice audio for some reason cut out towards the end as I’m cruising down the gravel road. I don’t think it’s a huge deal, but that’s why that section may seem a little off!

      @@pnwxplore I’m bummed because we had a ton of rain this year and crushed my riding time. I bought my Norden in Feb and only have 2,100 miles so far…I’m in New Hampshire so not much riding left this year.
      Enjoy your content, happy holidays.

    Great video, like the way you narrate and the photography is amazing, did you do all this with the stock PIrelli. Scorpion? If so, kudos on passing the sandy sections and those muddy holes on those tires 👍

    • @pnwxplore
      @pnwxplore  2 месяца назад +1

      Thank you, I appreciate the kind words. Yes I did do this on the stock scorpion tires, was a bit challenging in some spots but not too bad!

    What did you think of that Husqvarna? How bad is the rear shock? Was curious after that trip if you were happy with the purchase or would have gone another way. Thanks!

    • @pnwxplore
      @pnwxplore  3 месяца назад +1

      I do really like the bike. The rear shock can be addressed, and it’s fine for most fire road exploring, especially if you aren’t fully loaded with gear. Where it suffers is G outs and big hits. If the expedition model was out when I got my Norden, I would have went that route. When you look at the full package of what KTM/Husky offers in these 890/901 bikes, it’s hard/impossible to get the same overall package from other brands. It’s hard to find a bike that has good power, cruise control, low CG, isn’t super expensive and good fuel range. With that said, the new BMW 800GS looks really nice and I’ve been eyeing them. It looks like a bike that on paper can compete, but it of course is more $$$

    Just found your channel. We’re out of Grants Pass and can’t wait to get out and do my first BDR. Seems like these sections are doable for an intermediate rider? We really enjoyed your video

    • @pnwxplore
      @pnwxplore  5 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah I would say these sections are totally doable. Nothing other than your typical forest roads. The most challenging section is the stretch’s around Big Lake, just soft and some whoops.
      Thanks for tuning in!

      @pnwxplore yes sir, really enjoyed it. My good buddy lives on the Camas Prairie at the base of the Sawtooths in Idaho. We just got back from a 17 day trip. Did 1300mi in the Idaho back country and spent about 7 days with him showing us around. Felt like I was living a Louis L'Amour novel! What a place!

    I just came across your video's and I love them. I live in wa and Im hoping to explore some of oregon. so you really like the 901? I'm thinking of getting rid of the f800 and getting one.

      also where do you you keep your drone control when your filming? I've tried mine with my quick lock but the adhesive doesn't hold very well.

    • @pnwxplore
      @pnwxplore  8 месяцев назад

      Thanks so much! Oregon definitely has a lot of cool areas. I do really like the 901. I’d get the expedition model over the regular one, it’s better value. It wasn’t out when I got mine. As for the drone, I have a Skydio X2 and it doesn’t use a traditional controller, so I just put the GPS beacon in the tank bag.

    How’s the norden treating you? Heard mixed reviews thinking about getting one

    • @pnwxplore
      @pnwxplore  2 месяца назад

      So far it’s been great! It’s such a blast on the road. The cons are the ones you usually see, the rear shock is inadequate on the damping department and the wind buffeting from the windscreen isn’t good. Overall I really like it vs my KTM 1090 as it just feels more planted and easier to manage Offroad. I’d definitely spring for the expedition model as it’s just a better value unless you pickup a used regular 901. There are some concerns with the cam lobes on the motor, but it’s hard to say how wide spread that is and if it’s manufacturing issue or user issue related to dust ingestion. I’ve been eyeballing the new BMW F900GS, but it is of course more money.

    Yea it’s sooooo hard with people now days! My neighbors where I live in Eugene are like that too, loud at 6 am and they have friends with no common courtesy at all, it’s so hard now days, people only care about themselves if I’m being honest and it’s so hard when your just trying to be so positive and not start conflict, it’s like do I man up and tell them how I feel or do I just suck it up and not involve myself? Lol fact of the matter is, there’s no common courtesy anymore and people just suck! 😅😅😅

    so basically a AWD suv could do these trails?

    • @pnwxplore
      @pnwxplore  10 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah definitely. There are some narrow areas where you will 100% scratch your vehicle but there isn’t anything too difficult about these trails. Will be slower going in a car vs a motorcycle
