Seeing the basement completed is mind blowing. One of those how-did-we-get-here-? things. Surreal. Makes me especially syked to see the windows installed. And then…revenue- and enriching-building housing (because who wouldn’t want to live in a place like this)!? Not without its step-backs…of course. Makes me wonder if the kitchen floor has to be replaced before the apartments can be fully completed and habitable? What state would this house be in if you didn’t step up? A little part of the world is going to be just a little bit more enriched in a little bit of a big way.
You are alway so kind. This really is a labor of love and I get such joy from seeing the house progress. Sadly, I think the kitchen floor must come out. Saving all the tile is going to be a chore but I am very optimistic that we can salvage and reuse it so no one will ever know, except our RUclips fans, of course.
I love them. It has been my pleasure to work with them for years and watch their business grow. They drive in almost 60 miles one way to come work on this house. We are so lucky.
For the bamboo- we had a bamboo problem against one side of our yard. We went to the local Co-Op and bought copper sulfate pentahydrate root killer solution. To use it, you take a pair of tree loppers and cut the unwanted bamboo stalk off even with the ground then you pour some of the solution down the center hole of the stalk that is left in the ground. It will kill just that stalk of bamboo without burning the ground around it. We do it annually and it keeps the bamboo where it belongs.
Bambo can be a blessing and a curse. Fortunately, this big clump spreads very slowly. We had a different kind in the back that pops up everywhere. We are doing some very similar to what you suggest. It has taken almost three years to get it under control but I just notices a few shoots yesterday that need to be taken care of. I need to get the lopers and work on it before it gets too far along.
I was clenching my jaw when they were jacking up the floor. I am glad it worked out as well as it did. I'm so happy another obstacle is being set straight.
Gosh its been almost a year since the last steam punk event. I'm surprised it dropped as much, the sound is awful when the floors moving. Great update 2x👍
It was a little unsettling to see (no pun intended). It will be good to have this part behind us and get to the good stuff. We are working so hard to get ready for the Steampunk event but it does seem like yesterday that we had last year's event. It was so much fun.
I'm thinking it won't. I think the whole thing will have to come up , demolish the concrete below and install a new sub floor. I think we can save and resue all the til.
I was nervous when i heard the stuff falling down in the kitchen. Grateful all went well. Working on a few items in the bathroom was better than dealing with the pile. Alittle closer to flushing toilet.👍❤️🤍💙
The microphone doesn't do the sounds this house makes justice. We will be happy to have this behind us. And we can almost hear that toilet flush. So close.....................

I just adore Ricardo and Maribella. What a treat to have such capable folks working on your kingdom

@@leaguekempnerhouse good luck with that!

We've gotten a few big items checked off the list. It will be nice to have the basement structural work behind us.
Seeing stuff falling off the walls and ceiling must be very disconcerting! Glad to see Ricardo and gang as usual!
You know we love Ricardo.
I love the different colored brick for the step! So pretty!
Ricardo is brilliant!
It's coming along! You have the drive to get this done.
Wonderful work going on in the basement! It will be fantastic once it's finished.
It is really taking shape. I can't wait to get all the windows done and see everything with natural light. Windows are next on the list.
Wow I was holding my breath 🤣😅😮. What a wonderful team you have. Love seeing all the progress. 😊
I was holding my breath too. I wish all the sounds this house makes during the process picked up on the microphone. It's creepy.
Thank you!
You bet! We are on a roll down here in the basement.
Nice work everyone 👏
These guys were great as always.

Time flies when you're having fun!

Did the video go black about 22 minutes in for everybody or just me, picks back up right at the end.
Oops, that's what happens whenI have a margarita with dinner and then start putting together a video at 10 pm. I hope I don't lose my job.
Will the kitchen floor be usable considering how often it has been raised and lowered
Like the brick step .
Best wishes.
