Great content! I often close my eyes when listening to something I want to absorb. As someone who has struggled with attention span and had two brain surgeries in one month 3 years ago, I have learned coping skills to block out the noise and really focus on what I am trying to hear. I loved this and appreciate the time you took to post.

Two people that influenced my new thought is Shirley MacLaine and Oprah and l began my deeper journey to Self. Oprah and l are born in 1954 and we both have the journey to self love through our weight. Intention is the only way out and l choose to give up one thing at a time because to give it all up at once is too hard. Amazing Grace makes me cry because it’s a song of Self Love .

When my son was 18 and went through some really difficult stuff regarding how my brother treated him, I saw he was open to hearing a powerful lesson from me. Before that I was mom, the parent that didn't really know much. I told him everyone will teach you something. They will teach you how to do things and how not to do things. They will teach you how to treat others and how not to treat others. The most powerful lessons are the how not to's, they are the ones that often hurt and we must heal from them. That was 8 years ago and he lives on the other side of the state now yet, he will call me now an then to discuss how someone taught him another how not to treat someone. Then we will discuss what he learned and how to make sure he does not repeat that painful experience with others. I think I value those conversations the most.

I just enjoy helping people but that always backfires on me....the more l do for others the less l am respected and the worse they treat me. That's been my experience which for me is so sad. How can people be so nasty to someone who just wants to assist? Baffling. Almost like they hate me for being kind and helpful? Lol.....they're crazy. Oprah is and will always be the 💣
I can relate but we learned form a painful lessons in life. Now I practice the powerful word saying NO if necessary. If you watch Gabor Mate he mentioned about being kind is destroying our self-esteem. I will re-upload it for you it might help ❤️
