Very clever and precise sampling, he know how to operate on that thing on a master level. Love how he chops samples some times by holding the mark button and then releasing for desired start and end point. Also that auto sample feature is amazingly set up so that it samples on a certain threshold of sound in this way he eliminates the clicking sound of the unit. I love how he plays the samples emulating the mute groups just like on a mpc, he plays with two fingers so that the previous pad turns while activating another. I learned a lot from this video, thanks bro!
it's mad cool that this video is up to show people some of the legacy workflow on the 202, of course not having a way to resample, or like the sp-606 having a "clipboard" makes this machine something of a bother in standalone style sampling because you need to know what you want to do (if you aren't using loop libraries) before you even sit down and take your first sample on the 202. But this is a superb example of how much fun even this thing can be in the right hands.
No gimmick sampling. How hard is it to "flip" a sample a little more on the 202 ? Like slowing down, speeding up, pitching, resampling, sequencing etc ??
Wow, all that cash spent on digital gear just to be able to make sounds at home. And then I'm sure he'll be one of the people complaining that he can't get a "living wage" at a job.

No sequencer on this or the 303.
@@TapeDeckWreck the 303 have a sequencer. Its similar to the 404
The pitch effects are universal across all samples.
