The 60's was a Very powerful decade for me as was .y childhood & elementary school yrs. There were so many blessings but also un utterance sadness & loss as well. BDs music truly touches my soul on a very deep level to the edge of tears. He was/is such a Blessing & gift from the Kindness & beauty OF God's Goidness & mercy. I am GRATEFUL.
Divine, so real and genuine, stunningly beautiful, we need this incredible music and energy so much now. Thank you, fills me with deep joy and gratitude in a world too often filled with lies.
Best music 1964 and later.I,m born 1954 in the Switzerland Alp,s region. Bob Dylan music influenced me and my friends deeply. The war in Vietnam was horrible. Bob Dylan music helped us to live positiv and helped us to speak with stoned friends. Bob Dylan deserved the Nobel price. Great to hear him in this difficult time wile Dictator Putin is shuting so many people in Ucrayine. Thank you Bob Dylan.Good to hear here this live concert.Thank you guys.
35 years ago tonight. 17 October 1987 - 2022. I was there with my late Mum and Dad who have both passed in the last four years. I was 20 then. My first time seeing Bob, and the only time I saw George Harrison. It was an incredible night. And we were sitting in the same section this was filmed from.
I was at this very concert in '87! Wembley Arena was/is an unlovely and soulless box in which the sound bounces around to no good effect. It takes real skill and effort to connect with an audience there. Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, the Heartbreakers & the Queens of Rhythm did that. The temple really did go up in flames. In 'Chronicles Vol 1' Dylan, for his own reasons, gives a bum's rap to this part of his touring life. Don't believe a word of it! This was a fantastic concert. One of the best of more than 30 of his I have attended in 40+ years of fandom.
Me too. It was 3 weeks before my son was born. I was 26 then. There was a terrible storm that week & there was talk this gig might be cancelled. I agree with what you said about Wembley Arena. But the energy was electric that night.
Keith Gubitz thanks so much . I have found this to be such a fantastic concert. I have listened to the music twice over and I must return to “ Rough And Rowdy Ways Tour 2021 “.
The Temple in Flames tour was incredible. All the way from Tel-Aviv to London's Wembley. I love that he virtually book-ended the tour with Go Down, Moses, only playing it at the first and last concerts.
I was there in Bham, ; Hard to handle is brilliant concert, has anyone heard It aint me babe 1986 fast Madison sq Garden; it is brilliant? Bob had elasticity in his vocals which has come back a bit now.....I'm convinced he'll make another album soon.....
I was there……!!! First time I’d seen Tom. Second time Dylan. First time I’d been to Wembley. I was kinda sitting around where the footage is taken from, as in the right side as you’re looking at the stage. But farther back sadly than this. Walked back to the underground on air on my own. First year in Lndn. Fabulous. Loved Bob n Tom together.
...i've always loved TP's Whole thing, & if you ( a group) can & did tour & retour with the #1 'song-&-dance man' ever, That says volumes... i have never had a chance & missed an opportunity (which i had done with Stevie Ray, & deeply regretted...), but the day when i heard about TP i was struck deeply, he was & still is, the first name i've had to scratch from my 'Must see' list, due to death....quite a sobering moment.... TP was a phenomenon, a 'you hear a few bars & you Know who your listening-to'....not too many of those.... sendin peace, love & aloha from a tiny island in the middle of the Pacific, to TP & each of you... ..& Remember, (pssst)....The revolution is stashed in the music....
I First saw this 5 yrs ago but didn't watch the whole Dylan bit. Shame they didn't show Tom and the heartbreakers set it was Tom at his best and I've seen him a few times
This is the concert I had tickets for but couldn't get to - it was a few days after the 87 Great Gale across southern England and I was stuck in Brighton and tried hard but couldn't get to London. I still have the unused tickets... What I show I missed, it would have been my first time seeing him live.
Awesome. So much beauty here. Love the arrangements of Serve Somebody, Tomorrow is a Long Time, Watch the River Flow (simply because it's rare to see him perform it), and others. Also great to see him perform Heart of Mine. Thank you, Keith.

Hey you are right!!! That "heart of mine" is SMOKIN!! Whole show is in my top 10. Thanks to Keith Gubitz for making it possible for me to experience all these amazing shows. I'm a daily listener
Mike Campbell’s guitar playing on 22.30 is sublime! I just wish I knew which song it is. It follows FY. Bittersweet listening with Tom Petty in the background. 😢
Love it. Thanks. Great show. Awesome backup band. They manage to make many of the songs very danceable. And they must have rehearsed a lot and worked on coming up with tasty arrangements. Dylan's phrasing is staccato and wanders almost like talking blues, even at times like a shouting blues, like he's making sure you get the lyrics embedded in your mind, but returns to something more recognizable at the chorus or at the end of the verse. And the backup singers are there to remind us how the melody might go if in a gospel church, or simply to harmonize like church organs or like angels, or to complete Dylan's cut off phrasing at the end of verses, as evident in Knocking on Heaven's Door. I hope to finish what you started and fill in the missing songs for my reference and for others. As soon as I get to a desktop computer, because I can't seem to copy and paste RUclips messages on my Android phone.
I HAVE WASHED MY LONG HAIR IN A POT NOW I AM DRYING IT WITH A TOWEL AND LISTENING TO YOU BOB HONEY WITH YOUR BAND AND THE SINGERS YOU ARE THE BEST I LIKE TOLISTEN TO YOU
I was at this concert and, judging from the location and distance, I was seated not far from whoever recorded this! It was a great evening. The Heartbreakers were tremendous as Dylan's musicians. Dylan's phrasing all through the concert was highly idiosyncratic and absorbing to listen to. Reliving this concert again after so many years, I had forgotten how often and how effectively Dylan played the harp during his performance. His playing during "Forever Young" was exquisite.
Some fantastic stuff here. Keith's youtube uploads are consistently brilliant with great sound (and often a lot warmer than some of the more compressed recordings out there - if that's what it is... I mean less harsh, warmer). What a legacy. No way Keith is going to be forgotten.
Great Concert! Saturday October 17, just after the hurricane!!I was there, first row with my dear friend Dennis Grice, seeing this on youtube is a real treat I'm so glad you shared it!
CLAUDE BONI I was with the group of people with Dennis Grice in that front row too, with Jackie Connolly, David, June, Stuart Taylor and others as well. Brilliant show..
Utterly ADORE The Sound of BD's Harmonica..literally makes me tear up & Cry think from nostalgia. It has sorrow, wisdom & a powerful narrative within its Call. It's effect is quite unexplainable to me in many regards but I feel this instruments speaks closest to what he Feels inside his heart & is really very intimate on many levels of human communication.
Amazing indeed. I was there and remember "freedom just around the corner for YOU" second line of first song - set the tone for the evening as the moon rose over the Stadium. And I have the tape to prove it!
I was there for this gig (unless they played several nights at Wembley that October and it was a different night, I can't really remember). The big thing about the sound was they had this big trapezoid speaker cab above center stage which was used for Dylan's voice alone, the rest coming out of regular FoH stacks stage left and right. This speaker was cranked and Dylan's voice came out of with remarkable clarity and much further forward in the mix than can be heard in this sound track which was probably taken from the main desk so the effect in the hall can't really appreciated here. Suffice to say his voice sounded absolutely amazing. One of my top 5 gigs of all time.
Dylan's current line up is first-rate. However, I will go with this one. Much more rocking. I was blown away when heard them play Masters of War in 1986.
I'd say that Levon Helm, Robbie Robertson, Rick Danko, Richard Manuel, Garth Hudson band he had from 65 till about 76 weren't too shabby either, you gotta be pretty good to call yourself the BAND . Don't get me wrong in love Tom my first of 24 Dylan shows was in Birmingham UK a couple of days before this one it was so good I went 2 straight nights the 2nd night Tom played a full acoustic set of his songs, great stuff.
