great review phil.... have had a couple of specialized bikes over the years... think my next bike will be a canyon neuron most likely.. or another lappeirre ... who knows ... was easier back in the day when you took what you could get lol....
Hey :). Im about to buy the orange model. But i really dont know if 170mm travel is too much for me? :(. What do you Think. Im not the best rider, but im practicing drops and jumps, and g’ets Better every day.
Hey! I think if your going to be improving and using it daily for downhill, trails etc its fine. You need to consider the geometry and sizing more really to suit the kind of riding you want to be doing, If you are knocking out xc rides for hours, then this bike is prob too slack and a levo might be better. :)
@@PhilCrombieMTB Thanks, I was not able to get this information looking on the web. If it's forged then it's not carbon. I don't really trust carbon cranks from praxis. The only one I am comfortable are the ones from SRAM. Thanks for the reply.
@@PhilCrombieMTB Yes I did. That was the S Works frame but still had Praxis cranks (carbon). I feel better knowing the SL has aluminium ones. (still sucks I cannot move my xtr from the sentinel)
Hi Phill. Do you suggest kenevo sl to a medium level ryder? Is it simple to ride or better switch to turbo levo sl? I usually make narrow and technical trails ..and twice a year use bike in park. Thanks
Hey and thanks for watching. I think the kenevo SL is best for doing downhill laps and using the assistance to just get back up. I'd recommend the orbea rise for an trail/enduro bike. It climbs so well and descending it's awesome too. I've not ridden the turbo Lev but personally I think the 35nm motor just doesn't have the power for technical climbs and is a bit harder work in the longer rides. 🤘👍 What do you think, have u checked out the orbea rise? 👍
@@PhilCrombieMTB Thanks lot for your replay. Now i’m a proud owner of a turbo levo comp m5 With 700w battery. It’s sample a beast with a Very long range of km usefull. It’s a Very good ebike. But not easy to ride for its heavy weight, so for that i m looking for something usefull in all condition but more light. That s why i m Also looking for kenevo
I hired one of these last week at Innerlethen. Did 34 miles & 7300ft of elevation and had a bit of charge left.
Wow thats some climbing there, well done!!! Great trails up there aren't they!!
was that without the range extender?
@@stevec9143 with the extender. I’ve since bought one and 6000ft is easily achievable

@@megane230f1 climbs great, especially for 170mm travel. I’ve mine with the -1 headset adapter and set low at the chainstay.
Looks like I'm trolling ha ha.. Nice vid as usual Phil. I tend to only watch your mtb vids now cos I like your attitude bud.. 👌👌👌
Thanks Simon, appreciate it🤘🙏👍
Nice detailed review Phil, bit different to my old Specialized Enduro I've got in the shed. :)

Are the cranks carbon or aluminum ? Thanks in advance
Hey Paul, I think they are aluminium..Praxis, forged M30, think the forged refers to aluminium, could be wrong though!

Need a rise vs SL showdown !
If only I knew a bike shop that would lend me both haha :P

Kinda feels like it doesnt have too much :)
Change the wheels and the brakes, then, a great bike.
