I was stationed on a ship with Gary after he was on the base. He's right he didn't do nothing. He was anxious to get out and do stand-up. Honestly, there wasn't much police work to do for any of us.
Shannon Sunshine So can literally anything else. You can prevent them from driving home and help them get home safely without arresting them and creating paperwork for yourself.
I don't know why, but the way he delivered this was on point: "Just stay on the concrete. Hit the gas, make a left, bring it back down. You're good man."
Lots of jobs are like this sadly. Its not like the movies. Being a cop, bus driver, even a nurse, all it takes is one wrong incident and you're stuck doing paperwork for hours.
Pretty much anything. My mom is a store manager. If someone is caught shop-lifting, she has to go to court, the people who caught them has to go to court, the cops have to go to court. Over a damn candy bar. Thats why most of the time they just make you put the candy down and make you leave. I've even seen the cops do it. You have to be a real asshole about it, cuss the cops/clerks/manager, and generally go overboard for them to decide to take it farther than making you leave the store. I've seen my fair share of people that if they just shut up and left, they would have never lost anything but some pride. Instead they sit there and argue and cuss until the cops show up, cuss the cops out, and then end up going to jail over a Snicker's bar when alll they had to do was leave
Lol I was working on a security contract with our pd I processed and brought the arrested to the magistrate judge and to county jail. I would wait at least 4 hours for police officers to finish their paperwork and then another hour two for the magistrate judge just for a Public Intox or a class C misdemeanor. So I see their pain lol but I'm working on becoming a police officer myself so I'm ready for it.
Basically all cops in the military are like that😂 the only dickhead cops on base are the civilian contracted cops who feel like they have something to prove because they work on a base😂
