Agreed, but as someone who many people might consider “pretty privileged”, it doesn’t automatically make life easier or better. I struggle constantly with my own self image, just like everyone else in my generation. My two cents, we are all unique and special in our own ways and all have insecurities. Just rock your good attributes and improve on what you can, and life will turn out the way it’s meant too. I haven’t been on a date in years, and it’s all due to my own issues, but that’s okay, life is what you make it, keep your spirits up.
I agree it makes it easier to get a date fast when you are considered attractive... but along with that comes A LOT of bs that you have to sift through- a ridiculous amount of messages it’s literally impossible to get on a dating site and stay on it or have the time to go through everyone that messaged you, men trying to use you for sex only, people assuming you’re literally fucking mentally challenged or something lol, assuming you have an easy life, etc... I honestly have HORRIBLE anxiety and depression issues- it’s not easy to even be around others... and that is exacerbated when others are constantly looking at you in a purely sexual way only- you like aren’t even considered a person you are literally a piece of meat... my life isn’t easy because I’m somewhat attractive/slim/look white... I’m a single mother with mental health issues working my ass off constantly, I have no siblings, I’m quite lonely and I think part of my social anxiety and self-consciousness come from being seen as a sexual OBJECT only by a large percentage of people. I’m a person, and though I may have been given looks I was also given some major mental health problems. I would trade my looks for sound mental health, to be able to function normally, not have to be medicated to even be able to leave my home... don’t judge a book by it’s cover.
It really is. I'm a guy who could be considered attractive and I feel like people who consider someone good looking are less standoffish compared to someone they considered hideous. I was stranded one time without a phone and I knocked on a door to ask them to call a tow for me. An old lady answered the door, I told her what was wrong and she looked at me and said "you're are nice looking guy, I trust you to come in" Her phone was literally a rotary. Lol I was and still am astounded. Luckily for her Im not a serial killer. I also find people are more receptive to helping someone they consider attractive. I dont believe in white priviledge and all that SJW shit but I know this is real.

I went to college with the guy from a previous season who's girlfriend took him in when he was literally homeless and he still wanted to meet up with this random catfish. Everyone clowned the hell out of him. He couldn't walk into the student union without someone connecting their phone to the tv's to stream the episode.

When I was 13 I used Nicole Riot’s pictures to create a profile due to insecurities and what not but I deactivated it after a few months because I started crying for the couple of dudes I was lying to.
I let them know the truth. Didn’t ghost anyone so they can have that closure
After maybe a year after just no MySpace, I created my own profile with my actual pictures and tbh, I was received by people just as well. CATFISHING IS NOT WORTH IT.
You hurt yourself as well as others. I know it from both sides. Someone hacked someone’s profile and pretended to be them for nudes. It was atrocious.
