Just got done going to THAT place and was surprised they actually have a lounge with a dentist and a chiropractor ready to help truckers. They also have top notch security while I was waiting for my wife and kid outside the restrooms they checked to make sure we was ok .
Congratulations!! You need to tell your employer that a RUclipsr told you to go to the Iowa 80 before you can take any loads. With the company truck of course. Thanks for watching & best wishes! 😀
@@MaverickHayes I'll certainly do so, and thanks! Granted, it's Swift, so I'm not gonna count on that courtesy, but hopefully I'll be able to get with a better company in a few months.
@@MaverickHayes May have to take a look! truth be told though, I really want to drive for TMC. Seem like a really good company to get into flatbedding.
Last time I was at the Big 80, it was 1997. And I was in a 97' Peterbilt out of a Nebraska company called La'Bellas. Just after Bud Meyer closed down. Good times.
I'm not a truck driver but I would love to visit the Iowa 80 truck stop if and when I do become a truck driver or if I am doing a road trip and if I do become a truck driver I want to work for CFI
So do they have parking for cars? Oh that's right you forgot to mention that. Yes they do, 250 car parking spots. How many gas pumps? Oh 36 fuel pumps including 15 double side diesel pumps. You wanna continue? You showed a shower, but how many? Oh 24 of those. Since this is about the largest truck stop shouldn't you mention those things? Know you know how to make a video about something.

@@MaverickHayes i like you man , your sense of humour
Ok, why doesn't this channel have more subs, this channel seems so professional. Other than that, as a rookie trucker myself, I GOT TO GO HERE.

I don't know much about the trucking industry but I have heard real good things about CFI on how they treat their drivers. 😉

I80 has been great every time ive been.

About a dozen or so times.
Yes took a reset there many of times great place too but can go broke 😂
It can definitely add up if you spend time there
I parked the truck and later couldn’t find it. I felt like a child in Disney world. Nice truck stop!!
It is the Disney World of truck stops! Glad you enjoyed it and I hope you have been reunited with your truck lol. Thanks for watching!
The flat-nose trucks are way more common in Europe ! We do not have those ,,Sharp,, ones lol
At one time the American roads had more flat nose than conventional trucks. Something changed that in the 80s or 90s. Thank you for watching! 😀
BJ and the Bear was a take on a Clint Eastwood movie called Any Which Way You Can
You learn something new every day... thank you for letting me know 😀

Good times.
The only time we happened to visit this tourist trap was when we drove across the country from New York to Las Vegas in the summer of 2021.
It is a very unique place
Been through there twice both times the museum was closed but love that place
I would like to revisit the Iowa 80. It is an impressive place. Thanks so much for watching! 🙂

You definitely need to swing by the Iowa 80 when you can. It is a fun place to visit, and I think non truckers enjoy it just as much 😉
You literally just saw a cabover truck in the parking lot and pointed it out lol
🙂
My favorite part was at 12:04 when you closed off part of the isle ahahah, it was such an Aquarius thing to do of you and it made me laugh out loud.
Ha... I remember when I put the little cones away a couple of people were staring at me like a deer in the headlights. Thanks so much for watching!
Looks a lot different than it used to.
Also, scs software will be making a stop here in the next year....
I would assume it's bigger than from the past? It was a unique place to visit :)
Are the lot lizards worth the pennies?😂
😅
Never been there but I really want to
It was a fun visit! I think I drove about 3.5 hours to get there and I'm glad I checked it out. 😀
