I remember the Flamingo stayed there years ago..seems like the small and mid sized motels are being forced out in favor of the mega resorts or ultra modern hotel chains. Great video Maverick and looking forward to the winter meet up.

As a regular at Rivers Edge, Mashed Potatoes are the way to go. And the burgers are fantastic, as well!

Also Marriott paid over 200 million just for the management contract. Ryman Hospitality still owns all the real estate.

Ive been there a lot. Its pretty. Its gotten so bug I haven't been in a while. Ive been once since the whole thing flooded in 2010. Ive stayed thete twice. I love it. Largest non casino hotel in the U SA

Great video. It is sad to see the how run down it is. Such a prime piece of property that they could be utilizing as a great expansion project for noah's ark or to raise and build even non water park attractions if the owners are not interested in being hotel operators.

Hi Maverick I’m watching your video on The Flamingo Motel, I can’t remember if I had mentioned to you that my mom and Aunts and cousins knew the original owners of the Mayflower motel. We all worked there back in the 80’s. Used to hangout after the work was done and go swimming cookout and relax at the pools. Those were some fun times. Thank you for sharing.
