Cam, your video is so informative! I hope that anyone that is in the market to purchase a laser in either price range views this video. Your video covers everything that you need to know, and the comparison is perfectly demoed!
Wow. Great video with the direct comparison to OneLaser. I have been going over different machines and so far the OneLaser keeps ahead against the other machines I have looked at. Does OneLaser ship overseas to Korea with like using DHL or Fedex? I'm a military retired American expat who retired here in Korea and would absolutely love to get my hands on the XT or XRP model with base (it would be my go to system for all my side gigs and youtube videos). Let me know if you can ship to Korea, assuming the OneLaser can use 220V. Great video and thanks again.
Thanks for watching! I believe they were looking into shipping to APO addresses for you. I remember you asking the question in the OneLaser FB group. I’ll see if I can find out well. You can definitely use with 220. It’s just needs a 220 power supply. I’m trying to get to where you’re at 17 years in the service right now. Currently MSG/E8
Hi Cam thanks for all your videos. I preordered the xrf and am new to laser engraving. I was wondering if you could do a video explaining air assist and when to use it? Also what the benefits are and the process of hooking up an external compressor? Thanks.
The XRF is the better value for the money in my opinion. I'm actually buying an external air compressor soon and will do a video on it. It should be a relatively easy upgrade as they already have the hook ups for it. I just want to add a solenoid for a water catch first.
Thank you so much for this. My Polar does not seem to be cutting like it used to. I am struggling with my POLAR 350 cutting anything beyond 3mm without serious char. And I need higher power for the 3mm projects. It seems that the milliamps go down the more power I use. I would love to have a larger laser but with the amount of sales, I cannot justify something like an Aeon Redline! The OneLaser may be more in my range.Does the OneLaser have a camera that actually works?
In terms of your charring, are you still using the stock lens. In my opinion, that lens needs to be changed out. There are a few makers out there that sell upgrade laser nozzles. I did a video on it. You should be cutting 3mm material like butter. That’s frustrating. I’m sorry you have to deal with that. The camera works. It’ll be accurate within a few mm. My buddy Brandt from BeardedBuildsCo did a camera setup video on the OneLaser desktop.
Hahaha I laughed as I said this too. I swear I have maturity of a 6th grader. In regards to the settings, Keep in mind I tried to mildly increase the acceleration just to see if it could be pushed, but it couldn’t before jerking around. 😂
@@EdmondsWoodshopi didnt even know XT is cable of 1200mm/s at full 3G, website says 800mm/s with 3G, thats incredible how their glass tube can perform at that ultra high speed, hows the noise during engraving?
Yeah I was surprised too. You can see me running 1200 on the leatherette towards the end of the video. However, due to the acceleration, it actually took a few seconds longer at 1200 mm/s then it did at 1100 mm/s. The sound was super quiet. Nothing was triggering any concerns
@@EdmondsWoodshop Sometimes, I find it difficult to close the lid; the table on which you set the polar needs to be completely level, or the machine will wobble, causing the glass lid to hit the machine's edge. If you put your checkbook under one of its feet, you will see. The internal support structure of the machine and the external frame are not the same piece, and the cable management is terrible, almost seems like that polar was made from whatever scraps you can gather to piece it all together. I was about to go with Mira and then I found Onelaser, perfect solution.
Thanks for another super informative video! I'm really starting to like the onelaser... but I can't get it in Europe yet. If euros were the same as dollars, I'd probably go for it. I come from using diode lasers, and honestly, I’m loving the engraving quality compared to CO2. I tried a few designs with an xTool P2, and the difference was a bit of a letdown. For me, the holy grail would be a 60W RF laser for around $5k. Amazing engraving quality and enough power to cut. What’s your take on that?
I believe OneLaser will still quote you if you’re in another region. It may be worth an email to sales@1laser.com In regard to diodes, because of their low wattage and beam diameter they can get nice dark and detailed engraving. With the RF tube you can get similar detailing with exceptionally faster speeds, but in my opinion you need the higher wattage RF’s to utilize the faster speeds and darker engravings. For example, I can run a 38w RF at 1200 mm/s and 90% power but the engraving will be light on Baltic birch material. If I had a higher wattage RF then I could get more output at higher speeds. Needless to say I agree with your statement about the 60w RF

Thank you so much for the feedback. It means a lot!
Very good video! Seems like overall quality of life is well worth the few extra hundred bucks
It's nice to have options, my thoughts are the same as your. Thanks for the comment brother!
Nice job. For the OneLaser, was the stock air assist used?
Yep! I didn't upgrade anything except to add a mA meter to see what the output of the laser was.
@ thank you, very clean cuts.

Me too, the tube in my polar is not lasting very well,
13:33 this is hilarious, its basically “jerking” LMAO, i didnt know about that before, but hey thanks! Im gonna try it out on my polar😂

Will the Atom Stack R2 rotar/chuck work with the older polar 350? Handles get in the way as you know??
I misspoke. It’s the Atomstack R1 and yes it plugs directly into the port of the polar 350. I currently use it on my polar 350
@ thanks, that allows me to give away my xtool!!
@ no plug modification??
Nope
I previously owned a Polar, but it was unreliable and dirty, and the lens burned out constantly; I have to spend more time to clean it up.
Yea maintenance was a bit frustrating. Having a quick access nozzle and an enclosed workspace away from the electronics is nice.
