HOW TO REMOVE WATER DROPS FROM GOPRO LENS! 💦

⚠️ TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK ⚠️
This HACK is only for the GoPro HERO 10, 11, 12 which all have a “Hydrophobic” film on the lens cover
🚨You can also buy a HERO 9 Lens Cover separately and it works just as well (if you don’t want to risk damaging your lens cover). But this is the FREE way!
Here are the steps ⬇️
1️⃣ Take lens cover off the GoPro
2️⃣ Burn hydrophobic film with the lighter (15s at a time then REST to cool down lens cover)
3️⃣ Repeat process 3-5x or more if needed
To keep water drops off in the water. You have to use the LICK/DUNK method ⬇️
1️⃣ Lick or spit on the lens
2️⃣ Dunk in the water before recording
✅ Say goodbye to water drops
YES it is gross! But it works 🤷🏽‍♂️

Apparently you can burn it too but I haven’t tried. I’d stick to the 9

Water repellent isn’t as effective and wears off quickly.
I’ve probably clocked 1000+ hours in the water with my GoPro… if there was a better way I’d be doing it 😂

Yes! Buy a Hero 9 Lens Cover - this is what I did. I put it in the caption/description but I should’ve added that to the video 😂🙏🏽

Just lick/dunk but I’d recommend you upgrade even to a Hero 8 second hand you can probably get a sick one cheap. The difference in video quality is CRAZY
