agreed, and most people don't see past his pop songs, to his blues and covers of songs, which are more amazing than anything his stuff that people actually know.
Btw; this has been said before and idk if its been said on this video post, but anyone who says John Mayer's tone is shit, or weak, or "can't compete with Clapton's," or anything to that effect is crazy. His signature sound is very strong and stands out now just as much as any other player out there today. He's blown up into an excellent player and deserves respect as opposed to the ridicule that a lot of "RUclipsrs" dish out to him. JM FTW.
i dont know.. i used to hate him. but the solo of aint it sunshine... in the crossroads version blew my mind. lang has amazing skills, but he plays more notes in his solos... and in blues i prefer one single bb note than 100 lang´s notes. and kenny is great

Ok, this sound is not the easiest to play, and it's probably the reason why we can't hear anything (plus the soundman as said TintedRedFilms). I wouldn't say it's a crappy guitarist, because I don't know him. I just can say i don"t like his sound, on this song. But I would be happy to discover "one of the best guitar player in the world" if you were nice enough to tell me what to look for !!

I was at this gig and im seeing Eric again twice in 2009, was an amazing day, thanks for the postin but i do hope they bring it out on DVD.
