Thank you and I am so very happy I saw Dom's on his channel right before I did the paint! I did base coat it in black to see if I would go with the black and I think it would have looked good but I had my heart on something other than black and this turned out awesome!! I did get it out for a drive finally and it is a ton of fun and drove very well bone stock! I don't think I am going to change a thing! The run video should be up fairly soon, I need to edit it all up and get it in the queue!
Great video my friend! Thanks for the shout out!! What’s hilarious is that I JUST started building this tonight!! lol - just about to start step 6 with the gearbox build.
LOL! I got mine delivered about a week ago and even though I have other stuff I should be doing out there I could not help myself from digging into it!! When you paint the body wipe it down with rubbing alcohol or wash it with dawn as I got some fish eye in my first coat of paint. Normally I don't prep the hardbodies much but this one seemed to have a god amount of mold release on it!
Awesome Tamiya collection and I love all the luncbox vans and the Blitzer Beetle. I used to also love getting my monthly RC Action Magazine. OMG, the Dumb and Dumber van is epic!
Thank you! Lets just say things escalated fairly quickly once the RUclips channel started!! I still get excited when I open the mailbox and see that magazine sitting in there!! The Mutts Cutts van is my favorite custom build so far and probably always will be! It makes me smile all the time just sitting on the shelf and it is hilarious to see running around!
So true, I loved getting monthly RC magazines, that’s all we could afford back them. I’ve recently started collecting the old magazine’s when I see one reasonably priced on eBay, marketplace etc. it’s great looking at all the old stuff 🙂
I have looked for some but have never found a good deal on them when I have looked and to be honest I need another thing to buy and collect like I need a giant horn growing out of my head!! LOL I was gifted 4 from the UK a while ago and I really loved looking through them. I can really see how it can be a fun hunt for them and a really fun trip down memory lane looking through them!
Thank you! I have to credit RC-DOM -UK for the paint job idea as without seeing his video recently I would have just gone with the box art black scheme. I really love the look of the dark metallic grey. Glad you liked it and I will get a run video out soon of it!
I did see it running around out there and it seems pretty stable! I will give it a go stock and I am sure it will get some upgrades pretty quickly. I just got the sport tuned motors in today and got some shocks on order!! You know, just in case!
It is kind of a one of a kind design! I think it has always been a love it or hate it type of buggy but I have always like it a lot and now that it is in front to of me I love it!
I cannot take full credit for that idea. I cannot remember if it was a tip I got from Mark Bryan RC or from Pete Wylie RC but one of the two sowed it on their channel a couple years a go now. I added the extra pieces and the extra length to make it scrunch up and stay tight. It is just something I have to share with these builds as it really makes a big improvement on the steering slop.
Hi there Addam, a great looking RC. The paintwork seems to have come out really well, the PS94 and red does look very contrasting and catching. Take care and best wishes to you all 😊😉😉
Thanks!! I did base coat it in black to see how I liked it and it looked good but after seeing Dom's recently I decided to try it. I am very glad I did! I really like it and think this will be a really fun one!! Take care my friend!
Yeah dude! Mad Bull is where it is at! Welcome to the club. You are going to love driving this thing. It just doesn’t let up. Get some CVAs and bang a sport tuned in and you are ready to rock no matter the weather 😁 Just a grip it and rip it grins car!
I have some sport tuned motors on there way so one of them is destined for this I am sure and I do need to order more shocks. They are in short supply at the moment so the prices are going up again. I will rock it stock for its first outing an go from there. I can tell it is going to be a fun romp-around buggy!!
Addam I truly like jowls you change things to fit you, from the paint scheme and how you added heat shrink to take out the ply in the steering. Again thank you for pointing out the similarly and deference of a few truggies/buggies. You have a sweet looking Mad Bull. 💯💯👍👍👍👍👍🤜🤛
Thanks you! We call this a "close enough to box art" paint job! While I do usually go with the suggested paint colors as they usually look great with them when I saw Dom's Mad Bull with a similar paint job I really fell in love with that look! The steering fix I found from either Mark Bryon RC or from Pete Wylie RC and I just changed it up t make it tighter and less likely to loosen up after some run time. I love being able to share stuff on here to help others and love all the great feedback and support! The RC community is just wonderful!
Excellent overview and description of this Classic. The Manual is still Tamiya good... just different. Thanks for pointing out the differences and weaker points. EVERYONE knows by now that I've wanted a Mad Bull. Someone promised me one last year, but since I've become the Pyriah of RUclips... I'm no longer hoping.
It is a cool buggy and should be a fun runner, I have yet to drive it unfortunately. Sometimes when you dig a hole that deep it ends up collapsing and burying yourself. It takes along time to dig back out...
Thank you! I just love them and always have. I am fortunate enough to be able to do this and I have certainly had some help with it from the Elf and even Keith but I just love to build them and share them everyone! I greatly appreciate the support an hearing you all are enjoying them as that is what keeps me going!
It was always a more budget friendly kit so I really wanted one as a kid but all my money went into keeping my Blackfoot running back then (I was hard on it and spent a lot on replacement parts!) They have discontinued it since this video so finding one now is very hard. It will be one they put back into production in a couple years though, at least that has been the way they have been doing it.
Man your description of my teenage years was on point nothing but magazines and box art at the hobby store I'm a 74 model not to far in front of you brother excellent job on the build I really like it it looks awesome unbelievable job on paint and decals as usual ...you don't have to be loud on RUclips to make great content I thoroughly enjoy these build vids 👊
LOL, I am sure there were many of us living through magazines hobby shop displays back in the day! It was back when imagination was a what kept us busy and not staring into a phone all day! I am glad you are enjoying the content and I am loving doing it and all the wonderful support from you all!!
It is a really cool odd little buggy that just looks cool! Shortly after I bought mine they had sold out and then recently they look like they got more so fingers crossed they will still have some left for ya!
I’ve never seen or heard of that one. I love it. I’m not exactly sure why, but I do. You’re spot on, that driver name is 100% a GPK name. 😂😂😂 Great build and now I’ve got something to add to my one day list of kits to seek out.
Yeah it is not one of their most popular kits but it is jut cool and fun looking. There is a certain air of toughness and rebellion to it I think! I love the Barf'n Barry, it is too funny! It is a real fun and easy build and other than lining up those few stickers properly it is a nice relaxing one!
Great call on changing up the colors rather then the box art. Looks great! I'll have to remember that Tamiya color code for a future build! I've used both dark and light gunmetal before but like the metallic color of this one.
Thanks! It is a really cool color and it is the coolest thing when you spray it on. It dances, shimmers and looks alive as the the metallic in it settles down right after spraying. It is hard to explain but it looks very cool and adds entertainment to the painting parts!! I call these "close enough to box art" paint jobs! The general theme is there but not the identical color! I did base coat it black and it looked good but once I put a coat of this on I knew that was the right way to do it!
@@AddamsPlayground And I'm sure doing a black bass coat versus a white primer coat affects the color in the end. Lol And I know it does Just the dance, shimmer, happy fingers wiggle your talking about with metallic paints! 😆 Happy Thanksgiving Adam !
Great video and intro, I think your experiences are synonymous with many of us that have gotten into vintage RC. I grew up in Alaska so we were pretty isolated from the rest of the world. Fortunately we had two hobby shops in our city. But I pretty much lived vicariously through the RC Car Action Mags. I dreamed of what I would get from the annual buyers guide and the thick tower hobbies catalog. I fell in love with the Mad Bull the first time I saw it. It doesn’t make sense but it’s rad and aggressive looking car.
Yeah, I am sure many of us sat around flipping through the magazines and oh man, that Tower catalog.... that was a imagination stirring event when the new one came out. I had those things memorized and could open it right up with a page or two of the things I was looking for! I always did love the looks of the buggy and like you said there is just something about it that makes it tough and cool!!! I am sure it will be a really fun runner and I just got the sport tuned motors in today and got some shocks ordered as well in case I want to ditch the friction ones. (99.9% sure they will be gone as soon as the new ones show up!)
It seems like it is going to be one of those smile makers when running it! I am sure it is going to be a spastic handful and I am so looking forward to running it. I am sure it will get a faster motor and probably some oil shocks as well but I'll see what it does stock and upgrade things here and there!
Although I'd been buying the Tamiya rc catalogues since the late 80s, I didn't get my first Tamiya model until 1998, which was the Mad Bull. This was eventually sold and I've recently bought and built the Mad Bull again. It will interesting to see this model with the oil shocks, if you fit them.
I am pretty sure this will be a terrific fun runner!! I am sure once I get it out and run it I will be tossing in the Sport Tuned motor and I need to order some shocks for it as I just built my last pair last week for another buggy that needed them. I am 99% sure that it will have oil filled on there very soon! I do like the red so not sure if I will be putting the black CVAs on there or finding some aftermarket red aluminum ones for it.
Neat looking car! I honestly never even heard of the Mad Bull until I saw it on your channel. I started RC modeling in the early 80s and had a Rough Rider, Frog and RC10 (I still have the RC10). I later bought a Tamiya Blazing Blazer (boy do I wish I still had that car). But after that, I had a big gap in my hobby and only started again in the last five years or so. I really like your idea of taking the paper off the center of the sticker in order to place them, I will have to try it. Normally, I get a little dish of water with a drop of dish soap, then I wet down the area that I am going to place the sticker. This lets me put it on and take it off once or twice to get it perfectly in position. Then, I just use a paper towel to push the water and the air bubbles out from under the sticker. This lets me do pretty good. (Unfortunately, I am my own worst critic and always look at the imperfections and wish I had done a little better)
Thanks Steven! I think the Mad Bull is overlooked by a lot of folks as it is in an area all of its own and is a bit of an oddball (but I guess there are a fair amount from Tamiya like that!). It have run it and have to say I love it. It drives super well box stock and I do not think I am changing anything about it! I have used the soapy water method on the really tricky ones in the past. It works great but can be fiddly too getting them to stay stuck in places until it can dry completely! I understand as well about being your own worst critic, I do it all the time myself. I am learning to get over minor imperfections as if I can't tell from a few feet away then it is good enough! I am the only one that sees them any closer than that!! I get it though, we want to make them perfect and I have found the "prefect" ones get a scratch in them right away so Slightly less than perfect seems to have a better track record of not getting damaged for some reason!! LOL
Thanks! I started bith the black for the base coat but decided I wanted something a bit more fancy than the normal black. It looked nice and shiny but the metallic grey just made me happy!
Thank you very much! It was a fun one and sadly went a little too quickly! I sat down to start building and next thing I know the thing was ready for paint! I appreciate you stopping by and checking it out!
It will get a good romp all around the yard and then it will hit the track for some laps!! I expect it to do well in the yard, not sure how it will handle the track. It could go well or it could be a donut maker... I will find out and that will probably be out in a week or two.
I think it will be an epic backyard romper. Perfect for rough un-refined areas. It will see the track too to see how well it can drive but I am sure it natural habitat will be just bombing around in the yard running things over!
I have such a soft spot for truggy’s. Things like this and the revo just look like so much fun and the bashing is really hard to beat lol. Cool car and what an awesome build
I think this will be a really fun one to take out and rip around when I just wanna drive and go anywhere and everywhere! I love the looks of it too!! Just goes to show you can stuff big ol tires on anything and make it fun!
Very nice Addam much prefer that colour looks great nice choice 👍👍🤩🚴🏅 definitely added the shhush.. garbagepale kids was awesome we used to collect the stickers Windy Winston always had me in hysteric’s still does 😅
I do think the metallic grey fits it well and it is one of those "close enough to box art" to be acceptable! I loved the garbage pail kids, my mom hated them but I loved them! Adam Bomb was always my favorite but I always loved the celebrity parody ones they did.
O yes, RC Car Action. I couldn't wait either. Later on I subscribed to there Car Action Nitro. Before Li-po and brushless nitro fueled the power you craved. But I love both. Never had a Mad Bull but thought they were neat. I did have a Wild Dagger and pushed it to the max. Fun!
Oh, I do like the Wild Dagger and the Dual Hunter. It is about time for them to re-release something along those lines! I think one or both of them would sell great if they brought them back around but I think pretty much any of them sell well once the re-release them! I just got my 'end of the year' RCA magazine yesterday and will be spending some quality time reading through that this evening!! I am sure I will have at least a dozen new cars/truck/projects added to the list by the time I get through it!
Very nice car Addam. It might be optimized for beginners but it looks awesome and is really fun to drive. Good job and video.👍 Thanks for showing the steering mod, too. Garbage Pail Kids? I loved the sweets there was always a licence for doing silly things in the package.🤪
It is a great looking buggy and I am sure it will be a blast to drive and bounce about in! That steering mod really makes it a whole lot better, it takes away so much slop out of the steering!! I loved Garbage pails kids growing up, my Mom hated them but I loved them!!
OH MAN!!! That is my favorite and mine showed up yesterday too! I will be thimbing through that one over and over again all year long! It is like the Sear's Christmas wish book for RC!!! I build fantasy builds in there year round!
@@AddamsPlayground totally the Sears catalog for RC nuts.. side note the RC section of the Sears catalog was my favorite as a kid, second was the musical instrument section 😁
It seems like it is going to be one of the smile makers when driving it! Gonna start out stock but I am sure it will get a faster motor and some oil filled shock very soon!!
I agree it it is a prefect buggy for the rough and sandy area you are usually at. It looks like it eats up all those lumps and bumps really well and thanks for the paint idea, I love the way it looks!!! I think it will be a fun smile maker for me as well and I can pretty much drive it anywhere with all the ground clearance and big tires!
Nice one again, Addam! Looks great with that metallic colour, a nice alternative to Gunmetal for sure! I really like this buggy, I actually have a couple tyres spare from my G6-01, so I might convert my RX Fighter to a Mad Bull someday, maybe, someday, ha ha!
Craig @The OAG RC did just that and he loves it! It looks pretty cool too!! Certainly turned it into a whole other machine! I am sure you will have a blast with it if you do!!
It is good looking design and I love that built in pivot point for the suspension! I am sure it will be a really fun drive! It should go pretty much anywhere with all that ground clearance and traction!
More love for the DT01 :) not sure I had a mad bull as such but I did build a fighter rx with mad bull wheels and tyres on it for a mad bull race class, was great fun. Your looks cracking especially the met grey paint you chose for it . Awesome!
Thanks Andy! It is a great platform and I love the look of this thing! Super fun and kind of tough looking at the same time! I have to credit Dom for inspiring the paint job and I base coated it in black to see if I wanted to stay box art but then decided to try the grey and I am glad I did! It turned it into a whole new look!
I'd end up with 3 or 4 of them throughout the year as back then they would send the updated one with every order almost so between those and the stacks of RC magazines I could build almost every car in any way imaginable in my head! I loved it. I would have loved it more if I could have really built any of the cars in any way possible for real but fantasy money was much easier to come by!!!
I never had a Mad Bull when I was growing up because I am so old that there were not remote control cars back then. But, I think it's a very cool and unique r/c car. I think the unique design makes it appealing. The Mad Bull is in stock at AMain. I think Amain has a 10% sale site wide for Black Friday. Thanks for sharing.
They are having a ton of sales and specials on the site currently! I am very happy to finally have one and I think it will be a really fun runner and it should be a real smile maker! I am glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for all the wonderful feedback as always!
I had to look up the limo shell, that would be funny on almost anything but on this it would be extra fun to see rumbling around! The Dt02 monster truck is a feat of remodeling as well!
@@AddamsPlayground it looks great with the Blackfoot body and the madbull wheels on it .I’ve got the wild Willy 2 chrome wheels and tyres on my madbull .both the same wheels and tyres .the only trouble with the DT 02 is the gearing is too tall for those tyres and wheels even on the 17tooth pinion so a brushed motor boils itself to death even with a fan .but a low powered brushless copes great with the heat ..and it still does rolling wheelies onto the rear bumper
This is awesome! I always had mixed feelings on this truggy Buggy!🤣. I know what you mean on the mags back in the 80’s I always drooled on cars featured on those mags especially the tower hobbies mags. Funny thing I also loved real cars and drooled over exotics, muscle cars and Japanese sports cars in the 90’s. And now, it’s more easy to acquire an RC compared to real cars that I love. At least I was able to own a 67’ Mustang of which I sold back in 97’ and was able to purchase a 94’ RX7 back in 01’ of which I still own and now in a process of acquiring a 95’ Supra in the near future.😀. Keep up the good work Addam! Can’t wait to see what you do with this awesome Mad Bull!😀🤙🏻
Thanks! I loved getting that Tower Hobbies catalog!!! It was the ultimate dream builders bible! I could go directly to certain areas in the catalog just by memorizing where the sections were! Need a motor... pages 183-197!! LOL I gave up on real cars many years ago, could figure out how to stack them up on shelves for more storage! LOL!! This one should be a fun runner in just about any area! I should be getting out there soon with it!
Great vid, as a kid I wanted one of them but got convinced by the hobby shop salesman to get a tl01 instead, so I ended up with a 90's celica wrc car which was fun. Still think they look cool, I'm really getting back in to tamiya rc again got a lunchbox and a tt02 ford escort that I got to build with some hop ups.
Glad to hear you are getting back into it and having some fun. I highly recommend this one as a very fun one to have. It drives very very well and is super quick and easy to build. I wish I had gotten one years ago. Have fun with the new ones you have gotten and I am sure there will be more!!
Not sure what you mean. Everything went together fine. The only mod done to it was adding the heat shrink tubing to the steering arm to get rid of the slop in the steering. These are notorious for having a lot of play in the steering linkage.
@@AddamsPlayground I know but I don't have that ability to do that I don't have a lot of shrink tubing lying around and I know about the slop. Come out here and help fix that problem on my fighting buggy RX.
I have a GH2 and have a serious hankering for one of these 😂 I have an allergy to friction “shocks” so will go 50519 up front but maybe the ClodBuster length CVAs (you have to order the parts separately to make them but worth it) out back to give it a little more height and a more GH2 like rake. Keep up the good work my man!
I was immediately gonna throw oil shocks on there but it drives surprisingly well with the friction ones on there. I will probably upgrade them eventually to oil filled but for now I am happy with it. That and I like the red!! 😂 I have looked at some red anodized ones but I have almost zero faith in eBay shocks though. Some are ok and others are worse than the friction shocks!! 😂
@@AddamsPlayground Yup, even bigger name brands like Yeah Racing and GPM can be quite hit and miss with spring rates etc!! I’m glad you love the truck and are living childhood dreams, isn’t that what we try and do every day as guys? 😁 keep bringing the videos, I’m loving your work all the way from the UK 🇬🇧
Should I get a fighter RX and stash it away with the collection I am building? Or try and get a Mad Bull and it to the collection? The collection which in some, a few, many, maybe a decade will be sold as an entire selection of Tamiya cars starting with the Super Shot, Hot Shot, black pumpkin, Silver pumpkin, Black Lunch Box, Black Grasshopper II, Block Head Wild One, Suzuki Jimny and I wanted to add two more . Would the Anniversary Black RX fighter be a good choice?
ZI would say from a collector standpoint the RX memorial is going to become more rare over time as they will not be releasing that one again. The mad bull has been in production for decades and I doubt they will completely discontinue it any time soon. So for a NIB kit the RX is a better investment. I know they can still be found but in 5 or ten years they will start getting very difficult to find and the prices will go up. The mad bull will probably still be in production. personally I say get both and store the RX and build and have fun with the mad bull!! LOL
Addam, another radical video! I think that rig is super cool! I always think it is funny how things that may cause some trouble to most people during specific steps in the build, you do with such ease and you explain it so nonchalantly. 🤣 Meanwhile I am just shaking my head thinking, "If only I were as talented and crafty as Addam, I would do so much better with my builds. In fact, I still have the CR 01Toyota Land Cruiser 40 and the Monster Beetle brand new in the box because I am stressing out about actually getting the nerve to tackle the builds. I know it isn't a super advanced build, but I am not so skillful like you are. Anyway, keep those videos coming and be happy be healthy be safe. 😀
Well thank you so much for that! Don't worry, there are times I am over here fussing and cussing at a car because something is not right and eventually I find out I goofed up something and have to fix it! I try and point those things out in the wrap ups as I can explain it better once I figured it out than during the build where I am confused and frustrated! It happens to all of us! Sometime you have to just take it in chunks and build a little bit today and some more later until it gets built. I have it easy I can lay everything out on the bench and leave it at any time and come back days later and not have to worry about parts and pieces disappearing from kids or pets! For years I built on the kitchen table and had to pack things up all the time to finish later. I used a plastic ice cube tray for the hardware and jut put everything back in the box and would have to unpack it a start over again later. Just take you time and if frustration sets in just pack it up and come back with fresh eyes and a better frame of mind later and it usually pops right out where something is not right and then things go on smoothly from there! If you ever get stuck or lost feel free to send me an email with questions and pics and I can try and help you out!
@@AddamsPlayground Hi Addam, thanks for sharing your experiences and your wise words of encouragement. It is awesome that you offered to help, that speaks volumes about you. I may even take you up on your offer. 😉
LoL, it really is a little bland on the box but it is pretty cool built and sitting in front of you! Sorry to make you get another kit but you're welcome 😁😁
Greetings from Switzerland, loving all your videos and feel your passion for the hobby. I have never built a Tamiya model and when I see those Phillips head screws they use I kind of hesitate to buy one. Difficult question I know but if there is a particularly great (must have) one from a build point of view, what would your pick be ??? Thanks, John
Hi John and thank you for.the kind words! So if you are interested in building one the first thing you need is a JIS (Japanese Industry Standard) screw driver. You can assemble them with a Phillips driver but you will have issues with slippage. JIS fits them perfectly. I think for a first kit build I usually recommend the Neo Fighter as it is the best bang for the buck and it is not a difficult kit to build. Very straight forward and has oil filled shocks and an upgraded torque tuned motor included for a great price. For a must have kit from Tamiya... That is hard but I think I may have to say the Lunch Box!! It is just a fun truck that always brings an instant smile to your face the second you hit the gas!! It too is not a difficult build and probably works the best bone stock. I love them all so it is hard to narrow them down!! Take care and thanks for checking in!!
It makes this big kid smile all the time! I go out there some day and bring the chair around to the other side of the bench and just look at them... Kind of like window shopping! I look and look until one tells me it is ready for a little drive around! Then I will take that one out for a quick spin. I don't record any of those as that is my time! Setting up cameras and all that can wait for another time! Garbage pail kids still make me laugh and I will buy a few packs of them here and there when I run across them just to be a kid.
@@AddamsPlayground Awesome, ya i'm the same way, run videos are usually just for me. Send me you address on my fb page, i'll send you a little something for your flatbed.
That looks great Addam👌 Nice colour scheme. What yellow paint did you use on his helmet?, I'm about to paint a helmet and your colour is what I'm looking for. Thanks for sharing all the valuable info on your build as usual mate👍🦘🇦🇺
Thank you! I am not sure what it called for in the instructions but I used X8 Lemon Yellow to paint the helmet with. It will take two or three coats to fully cover but most yellow paint is like that.
Thank you! I think on the box it looks a little bland but in person it is way cooler in person. I think this will be a super fun runner and should be able to go pretty much anywhere with all this ground clearance!!
I know my mom loved the peace and quite she got for a day or two when those magazines showed up!!! I was in my room reading things about matched cells and 5 minute mains I would never be in or own and then once I read the whole thing I started doing my fantasy builds! I had notebooks full of part numbers and prices scribbled down. I had builds mapped out for absolute bargain cars and then for the most extreme outrageously expensive ones and everything in between!
@@AddamsPlayground magazines are exactly where I got most of my knowledge before even entering the hobby! I went from (1st car) electric touring to (2nd car) nitro touring easily thanks to the magazines, oh and eventually internet forums
Way back 1998, i had this.. what i hate about it was its front shock which is the weakest part and breaks. Whatvi did was machined a bronze shock for durability
It is a super fun one but the front end will take a beating with those big tires seemingly hunting out things to run into! You went fully custom and bullet proof for your fix!! LOL! It is much easier not with big kid money to fix them up! I remember as a kid waiting weeks ad weeks to get enough cash together to get replacement parts!!
It may need it. All I had on hand was the regulars and I have plenty of other trucks running the same ones so it should be fine. If it craps out then I am out $5 and will have to get a higher torque one.
That looks way better than box art!

It is kind of a one of a kind design! I think it has always been a love it or hate it type of buggy but I have always like it a lot and now that it is in front to of me I love it!
Clever boy! nice idea the shrinking tube on steering rod!
@@AddamsPlayground I think is genial idea.
Great video and great looking buggy!
Thanks Adam! It was a really fun and easy build and I love the way it turned out!! Thanks for stopping by and checking in!
Nice trick/buggy/monster thing! Love it!
LOL, right?? Not sure exactly what to call it but it is but it is cool!
You're right about the Garbage Pail Kids name! IF I can get one (unlikely), I might do the same color you did 🤔 it honestly looks great! 🤟👍👍
It is a cool buggy and should be a fun runner, I have yet to drive it unfortunately. Sometimes when you dig a hole that deep it ends up collapsing and burying yourself. It takes along time to dig back out...
@@AddamsPlayground Believe me, I KNOW. Loneliest feeling I've ever felt.....
I've been doing the right thing ever since, HOPING it eventually works.
Great video dude love your passion for funding these RCs and telling anyone who wants to know the details of these. 👍🍻✌️
Thank you! I just love them and always have. I am fortunate enough to be able to do this and I have certainly had some help with it from the Elf and even Keith but I just love to build them and share them everyone! I greatly appreciate the support an hearing you all are enjoying them as that is what keeps me going!
I never had a mad bull growing up I don't think I've ever heard of it It is a cool kit I love that it's a buggy with monster truck tires
It was always a more budget friendly kit so I really wanted one as a kid but all my money went into keeping my Blackfoot running back then (I was hard on it and spent a lot on replacement parts!)
They have discontinued it since this video so finding one now is very hard.
Awesome Addam I want this one I hope they are still in stock in a few weeks asking for one for Christmas lol
Great build and now I’ve got something to add to my one day list of kits to seek out.
Great video Addam
Thanks Jon, glad you liked it and thanks for stopping in and checking it out!
One of my favorite runners. You can put some serious power to these and they will take it.
LOL
Cool RC and build, great paint job
Thanks! I started bith the black for the base coat but decided I wanted something a bit more fancy than the normal black. It looked nice and shiny but the metallic grey just made me happy!
Adam you do some awesome reviews. Keep up the good work.
Nice one Adam. Tell you what these are really great with brushless on the beach. Sort of a long wide Lunchbox. Enjoy it mate 🙂
Thank you! I bet it would be an awesome beach blaster!!! Sand flying all over! Might have to take it down to the beach with us this year!!!
Fantastic build Addam
Thank you very much! It was a fun one and sadly went a little too quickly! I sat down to start building and next thing I know the thing was ready for paint! I appreciate you stopping by and checking it out!
I would love to give one of these a blast out on the track 😎
It will get a good romp all around the yard and then it will hit the track for some laps!! I expect it to do well in the yard, not sure how it will handle the track. It could go well or it could be a donut maker... I will find out and that will probably be out in a week or two.
@@AddamsPlayground either way will be a right hoot 😁 i visited andy robinsons club tonight, someone was running one 😎 look awsome out on the track 👍
This I never seen. Seems nice and the great thing are the big wheels that aloud you to go everywhere not necessarily on a track that not everyone has.
@@AddamsPlayground yeah they were great makes me want to watch the movie hehe
@@AddamsPlayground cool.
I just got my first RC car action in 25 years in the mail today. The Christmas edition 😁
OH MAN!!! That is my favorite and mine showed up yesterday too! I will be thimbing through that one over and over again all year long! It is like the Sear's Christmas wish book for RC!!! I build fantasy builds in there year round!

I love it mate . Great fun car which suits the terrain my way 👍glad you got one 😊👍
@@AddamsPlayground you really can drive it nearly anywhere and what’s more you don’t have to worry to much about it. It’s pretty simple and tough 👍
THAT is how all the Hornet/Grasshopper kits should look like!
It is good looking design and I love that built in pivot point for the suspension! I am sure it will be a really fun drive! It should go pretty much anywhere with all that ground clearance and traction!

Oh man…. Ive wanted a madbull since I saw review in 98 i think, and the XB version and the see through gearbox version 😍
I have seen those and they do look awesome with the smoked housings and the colorful gears! They do look amazing!!
Man I remember getting the thick tower hobbies catalog every year and fold down pages of cars I wanted
Love mine got a Kamtec Cadillac limo body on it . And a Blackfoot body and madbull wheels and tyres on a DT 02 chassis
Love your uploads Addam
Thank you!! I appreciate you checking in and always watching!!
LOL
I gave up on real cars many years ago, could figure out how to stack them up on shelves for more storage!
If I had it I'd have you painted the with the black paint and box art. 😁
Did you have to destroy some of the front of the chassis to get something to fit that sucks?
Not sure what you mean. Everything went together fine. The only mod done to it was adding the heat shrink tubing to the steering arm to get rid of the slop in the steering. These are notorious for having a lot of play in the steering linkage.
@@AddamsPlayground I know but I don't have that ability to do that I don't have a lot of shrink tubing lying around and I know about the slop. Come out here and help fix that problem on my fighting buggy RX.
I always forget about the mad bull.. it’s a “monster buggy” 😁
Or is it a monster truggy?? Or a monster buck? These are the things my brain does instead of solving real world problems... LOL!
@@AddamsPlayground hahahaha hahahaha thanks for the laugh buddy

I can't even imagine being a kid and walking into that room. Love garbage pail kids.

I wish I had a monster buggy.
I had it I put a faster than stock motor and I just don't know what turn.
Yep. One magazine at a time . Re read article after article. We didnt do a lot of tv
With those tires I would put a high torque servo.
It may need it. All I had on hand was the regulars and I have plenty of other trucks running the same ones so it should be fine. If it craps out then I am out $5 and will have to get a higher torque one.
It was pruciseley the same with me
It is a cool buggy and a blast to drive!
