- In this video, I showed you how to fix your broken items using glue and baking soda, known as super glue or ca glue. Using baking soda and super glue together is a much more effective and durable method than repairing using cotton and super glue. Enjoy!

Thanks for the info! I will use this knowledge to piece my life back together !
Amen baby

Lmfaoooooóó
Let me know if that works cuz I'll use it too
These ideas can reduce the work of auto and motorbike plastic welding shops, great job, buddy, good idea
I cried from the music. I thought I was watching a epic saga. I really felt for the baking soda. And when the super glue came in. That was it for me
I'm truly glad the baking soda recovered after losing everything. Such a rollercoaster ride but it's persistence might have saved so many lives if it's evil stepmom didn't starve those children she was clearly the worst antagonist ever to rear her ugly head in such a way. The scene where super glue had to go to war and was getting his hands drilled I almost cried. Good thing baking soda came back in and saved everything they sure made one hell of a team. When the war was over and they both came home and had kids I knew everything was going to work out.I heard marvel and lions gate films going to put another one of these out but it's going to be a comedy instead.
@@MrPoopyButhole lol bravo 👏😢💐

The video was much better with the volume turned down
Ehhh I don't know the anime was better
I been doing this for years but I use aluminium or brass dust it's a lot tougher than baking soda for setting the opals in aluminium castings and it polishes up nicely.
Can you buy that at Home Depot or do you have to make your own dust?
Does it matter what you are bonding it to like if it was a wooden leg of a chair would brass, aluminum, or baking soda fit better based upon what your trying to bond with?
@@olandofuller5588 you can buy it online most of mine is from grinding up leftover metal from castings I make it will bond to literally anything, superglue first then metal keep doing that till slightly proud of surface then sand down the brass always looks like gold.
@@czeslawmeyer7871 thanks. I'm going to practice on some old wood around the house. Thank You.
Do you mean opal gemstones?
I've been doing this kind of stuff for many years now, but this guy is truly fantastic
This will be very handy for cracked plastic bumpers. Thank you. 👍😄
My vintage but still much appreciated B&W loudspeakers had damaged corners for quite some time. After first trying this on an old piece of wood I did the loudspeakers. Painted it with the matching colour as the veneer on the speakers and only a close look will tell you that something has been done there. Very happy with the result.
damn! I've been using pure cocaine this whole time when baking soda does the job

Normally I don’t have any real applications for most of these life hacks, but this one truly impressed! That definitely had an incredible amount of uses, and I just need to get a larger supply of super glue! Well done!
Me too and already have a 5lb bag of baking soda from Costco?, now if they only had a gallon of super glue😄. My fave was table corner which I only had for months till I got a new 🐶 and have had duct tape on It since. Coffee table here I come. Wish me luck.
@@carmelabiernacki107 good luck my friend!

AliExpress. Cheap.
This is hypnotizing to watch. I'm going to find all kinds of uses for this
I Never cease to amaze!
I have to say pretty amazing!! I will remember this for sure
Bruv this is phenomenal for fixing drones and other diy things. Epoxy is the typical way it's done and idk which is stronger, but this seems strong enough and very easy to apply
It's stronger. And cheaper than epoxy. I've used this stuff to fix models before and it holds good.
Przepiękna jest to żecz a czy metal też to kleji pozdrawiam twórcę tego filmiku 👍👍👍👍
I been doing this for years on guitar nuts and saddles, a great fix more people need to know about.
Nice
What type of glue do you use?
Very useful tips
Thanks
AMAZING.... THANK YOU !!! ♥️♥️♥️ SERBIA.....
Muy bueno excelente 👍🏻
I love this invention with the glue and baking soda as a reacting agent... I love it
Genial im Quadrat! Dankeschön:-)
I’ve used corn starch to make nail extensions:)

fantastic
Epic music with epic repairs.
Very useful on my RC car bodies 👍🏾
I so want to try this!
Amazingly done!
Nice hack.... I will try on my next broken plastic project.
12 days later: TV remote battery cover tab broke. Re-attached broken tab, build up the hook part, and sanded down to fit properly.
10-15 minutes later battery cover back on and fixed!!
It is a lot more brittle than they make it out here. It does work through.
What have you used it for? How has it failed?
@@amjandertNeighbor broke his leg, got out the super glue and baking soda, and...
Спасибо друг, ты волшебник
Amazing bro !!!
Excellent idea!! I'm intrigued to see what else is on this channel..
This seems much stronger than dozens of different epoxies I tried.
Thanks! Used this to repair the linkage on my sway bar! Open roadway, here I come!
lol
Really works. Rater resistant too
I believe this was discovered by the Air Force maintainers some 40 yrs ago. Commonly used to make load bank insulators. I've even used this to mend a brokenbroken hockey sticks during a game, chipped finger nails, dents on cars, fill in missing pieces of porcelain. The uses are endless. Because it sands well and covers easily.
how long does it last? Is it a durable repair that lasts for Years or does it wear off faster?
Just used this tip to repair a plastic adjuster on my lawn mower
That's incredible!
Us music instrument repair folks have been using that "hack" for decades
Yet you never shared it?! Shame on you
Any other tips as I’m a woodworker lol
So it’s acts like gap filling activator?
Should have shared if you have😘
NASA been doing it before superglue was available to the public.
Amazing!
Such a beautiful video!!!!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Molto utile saperlo, grazie!!
This is so amazing
I used this method to build up worn grooves in a guitar's bridge, works well, thanks
Wow, never knew this. An awesome idea to add to my repertoire.

Wow amazing 👍👍
Yes check out marlin baits, he uses this technique to make custom fishing lures
Is it paintable once cured and sanded?
I really enjoyed this video and think this hack has so many applications... I have been trying to repair a few things using this method, HOWEVER I have been struggling to find a super glue with the right consistency. I am on my 2nd type of super glue that I have purchased and the consistency with each one so far is a little bit too gooey and isn't really absorbed by the baking soda when dropped over it, but rather the glue just balls-up on top of the baking soda. If anyone has any recommendations for glue that has the runny consistency as seen in the video I would appreciate it.-- I haven't been able to find the Loctite glue as seen in the video anywhere...Thanks
loctite is at lowes, ace hardware, Walmart, amazon, etc.
Also avoid superglue gel. I didn't even know about it until i almost bought the wrong one
AMAZING!!!!!!!!
I am amaze with results
WoW !! So cool.👍
We were doing this at a company I worked for over 40 years ago. It wasn’t called super glue back then, it was called hot stuff. We used these on a daily basis.
To do what kind of repair?
@@MrAllstar we did custom auto interiors. It was used for bonding hidden areas like the underside of a dash getting a leather wrap.

Awesome video Inventor 101 you created the most powerfull glue around the world👍😄👌
The glue more strong and cheap around the world
Been doing this for years , a Luthier showed me this trick if you play guitar/ukuleles, or any instruments with a nut and you've lowered the gap and are getting "Fret Buzz" , it's a brill fast fix , but thanks for this ,it's actually a great alternative than paying 5 X's more for Epoxy branded glues when you can get a cheap £1 / $0.80c tube from your local pound/dollar store ,and Baking soda , a carton lasts forever for the same
it’s better to use good super glue like Loctite or similar , especially if it’s a repair you want to last, the cheapie stuff is often relatively brittle when set.
And the repair is unnoticeable...

Very nice
Very cool!!!
the video was very cool
The baking soda doesnt really add structure in Any way, it just catalyzes the super glue to set almost instantly
What would add structure then?
Agreed👍
Well it acts as a filler too. So you don't need 5 lbs of super glue. It does seem to make it stronger
Tq for the hacks must try it..
Thanks for sharing!
This video made me want to patch plastic and rail an 8 ball.
Ha! I’ll have to admit I was seeing the same. It was truly just too similar!

Cut a diving board in half, glue it back and then use it. That would be impressive.
Aren't you just giving the super glue more surface area by doing this or is there a chemical reaction involved?
Chemical reaction. If you notice in the last clip with the two drops, the one with the baking soda dries much quicker than the one without.
Someone mentioned in another comment that superglue is acid-based, so when you combine the basic soda powder, it acts as a catalyst, forming the enzymes much faster and ultimately drying it faster and harder, as opposed to just letting it air-dry.
Does it become like epoxy or acrylic?
Nice! Can we make a material which is more flexible than the glue/baking soda mixture?
Yea it comes in a can. It's called flexshot. You can even build your own boat with it like on the commercials
@@raiderswish Thanks but it isn't available in our country

Super ideas
Been doing this to fix a lot of things, including a completely busted up laptop hinge that still sees use daily a long time later. I got some weird comments and looks at first, until I fixed people's stuff with this made them see firsthand how much better it is, even if it looks like shite 😅
Looks like shyte? Sand and paint to finish the job instead of leaving the mess....
What can I say-hat’s off to who ever figured out that this would work.
Nice 👍🏻
Would like to see a static leak test on that pipe and see what pressure it takes. Really cool
That's wild 😁
Will this work for stainless steel?
Glue and acrylic nail powder does the same thing too.
But ☝️….acrylic nail powder is EXPENSIVE (by the grams 🤦🏻♀️) Baking soda is SOOOOO MUCH CHEAPER and ☝️ you get SO MUCH MORE vs Acrylic nail powder. BUT….you do have a point about the Acrylic vs Baking, my 22 y.o daughter showed me the hack where you just use a cheapy nail tip & put superglue underneath the nail tip (on your finger) & sprinkle the nail acrylic powder AND THEN JUST FILE IT DOWN w/ a Drimmel 😃👏
It's good that baking soda is resistant like cigarette ash, I'm against smoking, I need to fix a part, now I have another alternative 🙏
Would this work for repairing door and cabinet frames where wood has become damaged at hinges?
I've seen in another video that it does in fact work for that!
Wow《☆》Like fast curing JB weld which isn't fast curing👍🏾🤠☮
For some reason I was expecting some type of super volcanic explosion.
Although, this is impressive too.
