Love the narration, empathy, quality work she does. Simply the Best, and I am a Northern ON. CAN Loyalist. Long Live the South, & Southern Girl Crime Stories.
Memory issues are tough-I suffered a TBI in 2017 and didn’t know myself or others in my life for about 18 months, and it REALLY sucks to not be believed. It’s more common than i think people realise.
In Craig's case though his wife lost money, as did the bank. Plus he had cash that could be used to help him start over. With all that considered it seems probable that he absconded with intent.
It's important to view cases without personal bias. In his case, it seems very unlikely that he couldn't remember who he was, especially considering he got a diving job.
@@lcam9241 I'm not saying it doesn't also get used as an excuse, but your daring nature aside, it is also often a by-product of car crashes, sports injuries, simple accidents, but often left undiagnosed unless it's really stark. This guy likely was faking it--but that was my point; it's irritating to be gaslighted by people because some a**hole faked it once... people act like TBIs are rare and they're simply not.
The first story I recall seeing on Unsolved mysteries! Until you said they were in such debt, I almost believed his story. Four hundred grand is quite the loan to have to pay back so I believe he was trying to get out of that and disappear. Especially since he didn't have any fishing stuff in his bus. Hmmm. I love Thursdays and SG ❤ have a wonderful weekend y'all
My God, these people who kill have no souls. Luring and then raping and killing a social worker who was bringing food to your family...and your wife is in the other room. Or, after a church concert, abducting a girl, raping and drowning her. What in the Hell. May these victims rest in peace after such horrible last hours.
If I had a wife, she would be jealous of Southern Girl. I look forward to her videos each week. At least Craig or Ron didn’t kill his wife. If he ran on purpose, at least he chose a better way out. Bandy and Lehman look like they did not live a very good life. No, that’s too nice. They both look like mortal hell. I hope their time free was fun, because it’s over. I’m impressed SG. The last story, the guy was put in jail on 4-22-24. That was three days ago. You go SG.
Oh what a wonderful man he is….he used her to get what he wanted then left her high and dry along with his kids and continues this scam that he had amnesia. But at least he didn’t kill her. Thank God for small favors. But you may have a point because I suppose most men would kill their wives in that situation. Mainly because men don’t actually see women as human beings but instead as objects to use to get what they want then throw away like last weeks trash.
SCG one of the best crimes channels out there! Along with Mike from That Chapter…I Love these 2 😊 SCG I hope you get all the accolades in subscribers 🎉🎉🎉
Have you tried “crime zone”? Different twist in that he doesn’t give away who done it until the end. So many twists some of these cases. I enjoy this Chanel too of course. Thanks you SGC
I remember seeing the episode on Unsolved Mysteries about the man in the first case. And even then, i still believe that he faked the whole thing. He knew that he owed a lot of money, and the only way he could get out of having to pqy the bank is by staging his own disappearance and hoping that the whole thing will blow over. I feel bad for his wife, because she genuinely cared about him, and when she finally found him, you could tell that their reunion was awkward.
This reminds me of the man named fritz(?) who went missing on one of the Great Lakes after being struck by lightning back in the early 60’s. He was a salesman but eventually got a job as a weatherman on an Iowa(?) tv station and was also a expert bow marksman. His niece recognized him but he didn’t remember her. His brothers recognized him but he didn’t recognize them. He had married and was then considered a bigamist and his family lost the life insurance money. He also wore an eye patch …that help to hide behind his eye in his brain a tumor that with in a few years took his life.
I was taking a look at the subscriber number and thought, hey, getting close to the 100k mark. Then, to my surprise, I realized I wasn't subscribed. I thought I was. Keep up the great work.

Awe...Craig's story breaks my heart, until the truth came out. Your man totally forgets you? 😮 wtf. What a horrific thing to do & bail on Christine, if he didn't have amnesia. That is SHADY. VERY interesting cases. 👌

In the first story after she got to talking to him again and he came off with the amnesia story, She should have let on like she won the lottery Then see how he acted. 😂
I'm not sure about whether Craig really did have amnesia or not, but I find it strange that he voluntarily came forward after the Unsolved Mysteries episode reaired. Why would he do that if he was trying to hide?
Wow! Trudy and Lucille were caring women who took care of the man who would murder both of him while his wife helped.. SMH And the man in the last case, Larry practically got away with murdering the mother and daughter.. Makes me question if there is a God… doubtful
The amount of people actually believing his story is mind boggling, guess not as trusting as some and if it smells like bs it probably. Is he just so happens to end up somewhere nice and sunny. Please ☀️😎
I'm certainly glad, that Christine found someone whose family accepted her. Ron may have had something, but it sounds weird, that he was in deep debt, after spending her money. Drugs are the bane of our society, causing such heartache. Women who stay with people should always be punished, if they know they are killing.
First case; if Craig called the TV show when he saw himself, then I believe his story is true. Because if he did runaway to start over then he never would have called and might have moved on, further disguising himself.
I look at Laurel Jean's sweet face and l see my granddaughter. It is a surprisingly close resemblance. I can't help but wonder if the family of these young women ever feel an undeniable desire to terminate these monsters. There is a small degree of justice when we see the wrecks they have become years later.
It's said, that Craig (1st story), met up with another woman at some point in Florida and married her. So, just by that, the heat was probably coming down on him there and he decided to flee across the country. He sees himself on Unsolved Mysteries and decides to contact authorities, playing amnesia??? Come on, CRAIG! What kind of fools do you think we are??? 🤣🤣🤣
For a change, the timing on the last case worked out for the solving of the case, and location of the victims. It is real tough to believe Craig's story of amnesia. Seems more likely that he conned Christine to achieve his dream. With that failing he left her with the debt, and used the cash he took with him to start a new life. Thanks SG for your work in bringing these cases to us.
Call me naive, but I've always leaned towards Craig losing his memory. I've done research on his years gone and he was homeless for some time; as well as not seeing his family. I don't see anyone going through that just to avoid divorce. He did have a concussion; I'm a nurse and his symptoms were consistent.
Maybe he figured being homeless was a better alternative than living with Christine. But jokes aside, you can fake the symptoms of a concussion, and his entire story just doesn't have a ring of truth to it.
@@didi012578Nonsense and I'm sick of people criticizing her. She seems like a very kind person who did everything she could to help her husband. "A ring of truth" is subjective. It clearly stated that he did have a concussion; it happened right before he left on the trip.
I remember watching the original story about Craig going missing on Unsolved Mysteries. I think the whole story about Craig having Amnesia was made up, he did all of that to leave Denise in financial debt and to start a new life. Its crazy that law enforcement or no one in the hospital can collaborate or verify his story.
The 2 in orange arrested for Lauren's murder... they didn't age well 😢 Hopefully it was due to stress from looking over their shoulders for decades... 😮
Craigs story is really sus to me because I suffered a bad tbi in 2022. When a concussion happens you don’t feel good for a few days afterwards and you feel like you’ve lost days so how did he remember the way to CO? The headaches I understand full heartedly but constant amnesia for however many years I call BS on especially to say oh hey that’s me on the tv! I feel like he bounced to avoid going into bankruptcy.
He's very method commiting to the bit. He's made it his reality. Dude is so deep into the role he could beat a polygraph. He's the Daniel Day Lewis of real life and true crime. But, without the talent or believablity.

I'd dare say it's not that common and is likely being used as an excuse in the cases you might suggest.
In Craig's case though his wife lost money, as did the bank. Plus he had cash that could be used to help him start over. With all that considered it seems probable that he absconded with intent.

I don’t believe the man in the first story
