Your dolls and puppets are not just toys, they are works of art. You have put so much love and care into making them, and it shows. You are a wonderful artist!
How much of alien clay does it take to do an entire head mask? Given it's not huge just something "average". I've worked with WED clay a number of times. Is it about the same amount in alien clay?

Looks great. I have never heard of it before and would love to hear how your experience with it compares to Super Sculpey.
Super Sculpey is heat-hardening. Alien Clay will not harden.

It can depend on how thick you want the clay to be on the outside of your armature. Are you planning a sculpture?
is there any video comparing or reviewing the soft, medium and hard clays? I don't have an oven like that to soft it.
This is a great idea! We will forward it to our video team.
@@smoothon Thanks!
The gills killed the opportunity of turning this alien head into a silicone mould!
Sounds like a great challenge to us! Stay tuned!
How to purchase this cley
Thanks for watching! A full distributor list can be found here: www.smooth-on.com/distributors/
I like chavant, but I see no reason to buy this over monster clay (atm)
Same. I watched this with captions so maybe I missed a comparison but properties seem the same.
the wedges are definitely more convenient though.
They seem to be essentially identical products, so I’m guessing the main advantage is that this will be available at places already carrying Chavant.
It stays easier to work with longer than monster clay
You may discover a reason when you actually try it yourself ☺️
After two hours ?????
You could do it on higher heat but you risk boiling the clay, which may make it dry (I think).
Higher temperatures can damage the clay components.
@@smoothon Can I microwave it? I'd like to use it to make mould beds.
Microwaving is not recommended due to the uneven heating which can occur.
